Escape from Duckova game long awaited by looter-shooter fans, is finally out and blowing up on Steam. Its name might sound familiar, and that's why Escape from Duckov puts a fun twist on the well-known extraction shooter, Escape from Tarkov.

Escape from Duckov: Almost 35,000 concurrent players on day one
Launched on October 16 by the well-known publisher Bilibili, Escape from Duckovs Steam release reached around 35,000 concurrent players on its first day. This is an impressive milestone for developer Team Soda, who have only released two other games on Valve's storefront to date. In terms of critical reception, Bilibili's looter shooter game has a score of 73 out of 100 on OpenCritic, which is a solid result. Despite drawing clear inspiration from games such as Escape from TarkovTeam Soda's looter shooter focuses on a top-down PvE experience filled with random encounters and environmental hazards. Players start out as a regular soldier – albeit a duck in this case – tasked with exploring and clearing a huge map to collect supplies, materials and weapons. The ultimate goal is to become an invincible duck and escape the planet. That said, crafting and survival elements play a crucial role in shaping the game's events.
According to the developer, Escape from Duckov offers over 50 hours of content thanks to its ever-changing gameplay elements, making it a highly replayable looter shooter. “No two expeditions are the same,” says Team Soda, noting that loot, enemies and weather are constantly changing to keep the experience fresh. Players can also build and customize a base that serves as their military command center, where they can develop new equipment and upgrade their arsenal.
Those who want to pick up Escape from Duckov should note that it normally costs around $18. However, to celebrate launch week, the game is currently available at a 12% discount, bringing the price down to around $15. The offer ends on October 30th, so fans of extraction shooters or anyone looking for a new top-down action-adventure game might want to check it out soon.
