New game Log rider from indie developer Bluespy Studios takes the co-op mayhem of games like Chained together in a new direction. Log rider stars up to two players as a pair of lumberjacks, who need to work together to navigate everything from narrow bridges to driving a minecart from the top of a rolling log. Log rider features both local and online co-op multiplayer gameplay, with players able to share two sides of the same keyboard to control the pair of lumberjacks, along with multiple options for players to customize their character in the game. Log rider is currently scheduled to release on Steam on February 12th, with a price point not being revealed prior to launch.
Log rider looks like an enjoyable romp, perfect for grabbing a friend and ending up in a lumberjack. Bluespy Studios confirmed it Log rider offers three levels of difficulty for players to challenge, while using a control system for players to save their progress. The game is not the first to be developed by Bluespy Studios, with the indie developer previously working on detective games Soulflowtower defense game Toy Shireand rhythm games Banner role. While Log rider focuses heavily on its co-op billing, the game has a few options for players who want to fly solo. Bluespy Studios confirms it in the game's description Log rider allows for single player play, although the game is primarily designed around two players. The trailer for the game teases in-game voice chat, which allows players to easily communicate with each other without relying on external platforms like Discord. Log rider has also been confirmed to boast not only achievements on Steam but an in-game leaderboard, with players challenged to finish the game faster than anyone else.

Apart from the aforementioned Chained togethergames like Overcooked franchise and Phasmophobia has seen success and encouraged players to team up with friends for some unpredictable fun. Swedish developer Hazelight Studios has been one of the biggest pioneers in modern co-op games and has seen success with games like A way out and Split Fiction and even win the coveted “Game of the Year” award for It takes two. Co-op games are going nowhere, and Log rider looks to be a hilariously fun new entry in the genre.
