New boob-baring bikini trend emerges at Miami Swim Week 2024

Australian beaches are about to fill with women wearing boob-baring bikinis after the new trend of glitzy swimsuits took over a recent fashion show.

Unlike the standard triangle bikini tops we’re all used to, which highlight the breasts, this new variant has been designed to highlight as much of the breasts as possible while still covering the wearer’s nipple – and therefore saving itself the accusation of outrage against modesty.

The revealing new bikini trend recently debuted at Miami Swim Week 2024, an annual industry event known for predicting and defining next year’s trends, proving that it won’t be long before daring nude swimmers reach our shores.

Wild look

Berry Beachy Swimwear featured a series of revealing new bikinis featuring exposed underwire, a sexy trend that has recently swept the world of lingerie.

Alexa Collins, an American model who walked the brand’s runway, was photographed wearing a silver dress, which featured a thin bar across the bust, with wire enclosing her breasts.

The pants were equally small and matched the shimmery fabric of the bra.

Fans of the model, who has 2.7 million followers on Instagram, were quick to praise the look after she shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos.

“The heat is here,” declared one, while another raved: “A pure goddess.”

“This is so cute,” someone else wrote.

While one said: “I love lingerie.”

“A bikini this sexy, is it meant to be worn as lingerie?” agreed another.

They weren’t the only lingerie-style swimsuits to be seen on the catwalk, with many models showing off the new style in a range of different colors and designs, this time created by Olivia London Swimwear.

A model was seen in a gold version of the eye-popping costume, which featured small triangles covering the lower half of her torso.

While another wore a similar Olivia London Swimwear number in a striking yellow and turquoise.

Another skimpy version featured an additional cutout on the lower torso, revealing the “underboob” on the already bold new design.

Despite being the definition of a “barely” swimsuit, the two-pieces don’t come cheap, with Olivia London Swimwear selling her breast-baring bikini for $375, which converts to around $A565.

According to the brand’s website, the bikinis are “made to order” and are hand-decorated with colored stones.

The risque style is so popular that it’s currently “sold out,” but is available to purchase on pre-order.

It’s not the only raunchy new swimwear trend to emerge at Miami Swim Week this year, with several designers unveiling the “rosette bikini” — two-piece togs that feature eye-catching flowers on the bust instead of the standard bra.
