New ARC Raiders 1.12.0 update fixes controversial exploit

Developer Embark Studios has kept the ball rolling with its second ARC Raiders 2026 update, as patch 1.12.0 is now available for download on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Today's new ARC Raiders the patch may only be a small one, but it addresses some major exploits that fans have been complaining about for weeks now, including one that (again) allowed players to go out of bounds on the PvP-heavy map, Stella Montis.

The latest update comes just a week after the last one ARC Raiders update, which fans had been patiently waiting for over Christmas while Embark took a well-deserved break. The studio then returned with the first patch of 2026, known as update 1.11.0, which not only added a long-awaited cosmetic pack but also saw some huge nerfs to some fan-favorite weapons and items. The most prominent of the bunch was a reduction in the damage radius of Trigger Nade, as the C4 grenade had been dominating PvP encounters for weeks. Embark also adjusted the time between trigger and detonation from 0.7s to 1.5s, as well as reduced the Kettle's rate of fire from 600 to 450, to prevent players from abusing macros to fire the weapon faster than intended.

ARC Raiders can add much requested feature because the developers are “super aware” of player requirements

Embark is addressing the massive amount of requests for saveloads in ARC Raiders, as a developer says the studio is “super aware” of player demands.

ARC Raiders Update fixes Stella Monti's Exploit

Ever since the release of ARC RaidersStella Monti's map back in November, players have continued to find more and more ways to exploit it and go off the field. Although Embark has attempted to address this with numerous updates over the past few months, players are still finding alternative ways to fail to exit the map. Today's update once again takes aim at this controversial exploit, as Embark says it has now fixed various out-of-bound map locations on Stella Montis. Hopefully this will be the last time the studio needs to fix the issue, as it has caused massive controversy among the game's community for weeks now.

According to the official patch notes, which can be found further down in this article, update 1.12.0 also fixes many other exploits. Embark also seems to have addressed an issue that allowed players to duplicate ammo and items, and has also fixed some cases where players could damage others behind the geometry. Unfortunately, that's all that's included in January 20th ARC Raiders update. While some anticipated the release of a new Toxic Swamp map state for ARC Raiders today, it looks like players will have to wait a little longer, as there has still been no word from Embark on when the next content update will arrive.

The good news is that ARC Raiders seems to have big plans for 2026, as Embark recently teased the community and revealed that several new maps will be released in the next 12 months. While there's still no roadmap for 2026, specific details about the new maps remain a mystery, but Embark said they would all vary in size. The studio added Stella Montis to the game back in November, which shook things up drastically as the map is much smaller in size and consists of tight, winding corridors that quickly became the best place for PvP.

Many fans now believe that the next map is being added ARC Raiders will center around an erupting volcano, as there have been numerous in-game references and dialogue teasing its additions.

Players are also calling for some major quality of life improvements, primarily in relation to the game's user interface. Thankfully, Embark says it's “super aware” of the requirements for a saved charging feature in the ARC Raiderswhich would drastically reduce the amount of time spent in Speranza and make players Topside much faster. The game's design lead even admitted that he will often run a free loadout to avoid wasting time on a new loadout.
