Thanks to the long-awaited edition of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero last year, 2024 was a monumental time for anime game. Although it will be extremely difficult to beat the launch of the fourth Budokai Tenkaichi game, 2025 looks like it will hit a fairly struggle, as there are already some expected release.

Some of these titles include Demon Slayer: Hinokami Chronicles 2, Bleach: Rebirth of Souls and the current gene in one piece: Pirate Warriors 4, but there is one that stands out among the rest – Hunter X Hunter X Impact. We have not had a proper Hunter X Hunter game before, and to start with a Marvel vs. Capcom-Style Fighter has made quite an impact (word game intended).

Hunter X Hunter: Nen X Impact launched July 17

Yesterday, Evo hosted a price exhibition to honor the Fighting Games, as well as making some announcements. One of these announcements was that Hunter X Hunter: Nen X Impact will be launched later this year on July 17, after it was previously expelled from its planned 2024 window.

Although it is already good news to know when the next big anime game will be released this year, the new trailer also confirmed that Nen X IMPACT will have at least one season pass that adds four new fighters to the game. The first of these fighters was revealed to be nephelpito, which will arrive in the fall of 2026.

We do not know who any of the other DLC fighters will be yet, but release Windows has already been confirmed, with the second fighter coming in the winter of 2025, the third spring 2026, and the fourth and seemingly final fighter arrives in the summer of 2026. The trailer refers to the passport as “season pass 1”, so maybe more is in store for the future.
