Naruto characters that were most affected

Naruto is one of the most legendary shonen -Anime of all time that needs no introduction. Kishimoto's incredible world -building ensured that fans would fall in love with the Eponymous underneath and his quest to become Hokage at all costs.

This underdog eventually became strong enough to handle the toughest characters in the series and took the help of many allies (and sometimes enemies) along the way. The most persuasive characters in Naruto Have suffered a lot and overcome these adversities to become stronger than ever.

Naruto uzumaki

An orphaned child who grew up surrounded by hate

  • Biggest tragedy: To grow up alone while being hated by the whole village to be a jinchuuriki

Naruto suffered from the curse of hatred since his birth. His parents died in a heroic attempt to save him, and his status as Jinchuuriki meant that the whole village looked down at him since he was little.

But he endured all this hatred and never lost his harsh attitude, eventually a bunch of friends on the road and reached greater heights of power than ever before. Of course, he also endured his fair share of loss during this trip, with Jiraiya and Nei's deaths were just some of the many cases that traumatized and hardened Naruto at the same time.

Sasuke Uchiha

Lost his family after his brother's outbreak and grew up with lots of evil

  • Biggest tragedy: Losing the whole family and clan as a child

Unlike Naruto, Sasuke felt the love of a father and mother, which is why it was so difficult for him to accept that they had brutally slaughtered. What aggravated things was that the perpetrator was his brother, whom he idolized, which was what led him down a path of hatred.

Even after revealing the truth, Sasuke was too far away to go down on a light. He swore revenge on the leaf for causing the death of his village and carried this burden all through his lonely, and it was only through Naruto's stubbornness to become his friend that Sasuke finally decided to release the past and look after the future.

Tsunade lateju

Lost both his brother and lover to the horror of war

  • Biggest tragedy: Transfer Dan and Nawaki

Tsunade may seem like a good-for-nothing intoxicated player who is not suitable to be Hokage in Naruto's eyes, but he eventually discovers the horrible things that she endured earlier. The wars that Shinobi led had removed two of the closest people in her life.

Nawaki had barely reached adulthood but was killed during this conflict, while her lover, Dan, died in her arms after her medical ninjutsu was not enough to treat his deadly wounds. This made her develop a hemophobia that was only cured after Naruto's harsh nature reminded her that there was still something to trust and look forward to in this twisted world.

Gaara

His father went out to traumatize him

  • Biggest tragedy: Foiling of a murder attempt conducted by its only friend in the world

Gaara acts like a heartless Shinobi consumed with his thirst for revenge, but there is a reason why he had abandoned his humanity as a child. Gaara's mother died after giving birth. He became Shukakus Jinchuuriki not long after, and Rasa did everything to ensure that his children would be strongly traumatized.

The most heartless thing he did was order Yashamaru, Gaara's only friend, to murder Gaara while he sprayed lies about how much he hated him. This was the last straw that broke the camel's back and turned Gaara into a cold, evil shinobi that was finally withdrawn in the light after Naruto made it clear how important friendship was.

Obito uchiha

Lost love in one's life and began to oppose the world

  • Biggest tragedy: Losing a part of the body and seeing rin killed by his best friend

People can laugh at Obito was such a huge Simp that he decided to destroy the world after his crusher death, but his love for Rin was just one of the many factors that contributed to his provenance to the villain. He awakened the Sharingan and tied with Kakashi, just for a cave to make his body crushed.

When he cured enough to find his former team members, he was too late and saw an out-of-context moment where Kakashi staked Rin and caused her passing. This moment caused him to suffer and develop a distorted view of the world and its suffering, which is why he wanted to adopt the infinite Tsukuyomi plan and catch all of humanity in an almost perfect illusion.

Nagato

Grew up in a war -driven land, lost a close friend and began walking on the pain road

Nagato Uzumaki from Naruto

  • Biggest tragedy: Trying to get peace to Amegakure, just to lose his best friend during the process

Nagato is one of the most iconic villains in Naruto. Pain causes countless death and suffering in the series, but it is because the person behind the scenes had endured his fair share of heart damage and realized that adversities helped people to become strong, which is not the worst point of view to have (although how he went to maintain it was odd).

He was born in the war -uniform country Amegakure and lost his parents during this battle in no time. After Jiraiya left, he, Yahiko and Konan Akatsuki formed in an attempt to execute peace in the region, but this attracted Hanzo's attention. He kidnapped Konan and forced Yahiko to die from Nagato's hand, which caused Rinnegan's user to fall into despair and become the villainous leader who everyone loves to hate.

Kakashi Hatake

His father killed himself and left him to take care of himself in a cutthroat world

  • Biggest tragedy: Losing his father and his best friends

Kakashi is one of the coolest characters in the series, and it is impressive how he managed to keep such a cool head even though he handled a tragedy after another. Coming home to his father's hanging body should have traumatized him, but he used this memory to be strong and effective.

Obito helped him see the error on his roads, but did not die long after, and Rin was killed by stepping on the way to Kakashi's Chidori after a tailed animal had been sealed in her. The deaths to the people closest to him crushed Kakashi, but he sought to honor their memory and became one of the strongest Shinobians in Naruto.

Itachi uchiha

Made the ultimate victim to save his brother

  • Biggest tragedy: Forced to kill the entire clan in an attempt to save his brother

Itachi Uchiha was the biggest villain of the series until one point, and fans had no sympathy for him. All this changed after his passing, with Obito who revealed the truth to Sasuke. Itachi was not a genocide greniac, but a man who loved his brother and would have done something to save Sasuke from the curse who tormented the Uchiha clan.

He agreed to destroy his brothers after being promised that Sasuke would be spared. The tears he threw before killing his mother and father makes it clear that Itachi suffered as much as Sasuke after this moment, and he volunteered to be marked as an evil, heartless villain, if it meant that Sasuke could have a chance to live a normal life. But he underestimated how much Sasuke held this hatred, which meant he failed even after traumatizing both himself and his brother.
