Mountain Underground Facility Key location in Code Vein II

Many of the areas in Code Vein 2 have dungeons or caves that are inaccessible until players pass a certain point in the story. While exploring these dungeons, players may encounter locked doors that require a key to open, but the key is nowhere in sight.

A good example of this is Mountain Underground Facilitywhere a path to the right leads to a large open room with a locked gate on the far right. Here's how players can open this gate and what rewards lie behind those bars Code Vein 2.

Where to find the key to the Mountain Underground Facility in Code Vein 2

When you first reach the Mountain Underground Facility, which is west of the Sunken City, you'll find a room to the right that has a Revival Stone outside. This might give you the feeling that a boss fight is about to start, but that's not the case, at least not right now. Inside the room is a locked door that you need a key for, and it will remain locked until you complete a few steps first.

First, you have to go through a lot of the main story. Your main goal is to complete Josee's arc so you can talk to her during 2187 Free Exploration. She is inside the dining roombehind where Valentin stands. Talk to her and she will ask you to get various spices for her. There are three different spices in the three major regions.

The first is inside Sunken City, northeast of Sunken Pylon. You need to enter the ruined building here with several enemies inside. One floor before the roof, you'll see a glowing yellow object to the left, which is Rich Spice.

Revealing the map by destroying jammers will help you explore the regions much more freely.

After this, complete Lyle's bow so you can explore Northern Watch Fort, located north of Corroded Scar. Inside the building, below a set of stairs, you can find the second spice, Aromatic spice.

The last spice is in Undead Forest, and you must complete Holly's arc so you can freely explore the region. Go to Withered greenhousewhere Holly's Cocoon is kept in the present. Here you will find Hot Spice.

Once you have all the spices, bring them back to Josee, and there will be several cutscenes where she will try to cook dishes for you to taste. She will not settle for these spices, so you must cooperate with her to get the second requestwhich means checking out the Mountain Underground Facility.

Go back to the same room where the locked gate was, and this time you will face Spice Predator boss. Most of its attacks are easy to dodge, so you don't have to rely on parries for every attack. After defeating it, you will get the key and complete Josee's request. Go over to the gate and open it to find a chest with a Plagueward Runeleaf inside.
