A Minecraft fan has created a baby version of the legendary Ender Dragon, which is capturing the attention of fans online. Ender Dragon is one of the boss mobs found in Minecraftand the meeting should be a terrifying experience. However, this fan concept would put an adorable spin on the giant mob.
While 2026 has just begun, Mojang has wasted no time in revealing new content for the next game release. In particular, the developer announced that mobs for baby farms received new designs. Thanks to the upcoming update, wolf pups, kittens, piglets, calves, baby chickens, baby ocelots, lambs, and baby bunnies get adorable makeovers. Although these mobs already have baby versions, they are just scaled-down versions of adults with disproportionately large heads. The new redesigns rework each of these mobs, enhancing their cuteness and making them more visually distinct. In addition, new versions of baby mounts are coming to the game. Unsurprisingly, many Minecraft fans have fallen in love with these redesigned mobs, and some have imagined baby versions of other creatures from the game.

Mojang is giving players a first look at some of the features coming in its first game release in 2026, and they're already available for testing.
Minecraft fans Baby Ender Dragon concept
One of these fan concepts comes from Reddit user w11shes, who put a neat spin on it Minecrafts Ender Dragon. Specifically, the player created a baby version of the mob, complete with an egg. This new version of the mob was noticeably more compact, making it less intimidating than the adult. But it still had glowing purple eyes and a pair of wings.
This Ender Dragon concept has gained traction on Reddit, with many fans upvoting the post. While w11shes didn't share details on how the concept could work in-game, other players in the comments came up with their own ideas. Notably, some felt that Baby Ender Dragon should be added as a new passive mob. According to Reddit user Trick-Caramel-6156, the Baby Ender Dragon could be ridden by players and could shoot projectiles at enemies. While they thought it would be difficult to balance, others thought it could work together Minecraft's Happy Ghast and Elytra as modes of transportation.
It is currently unknown when the next game will be released Minecraft will be released, but many of the features are already available for testing via Java snapshot and Bedrock beta/preview. While many fans believe that Mojang will not add a Baby Ender Dragon mob, the developer will likely continue to reveal more content until the next game release. Given the overwhelmingly positive reception of the new version of baby farm mobs, Baby Ender Dragon would likely be a hit if it was ever announced. It is worth noting that Minecraft has an active modding scene, so it's always possible that this mob could be added unofficially by ambitious fans.
While it remains to be seen what else Mojang will add to its next game release, players already have a lot to look forward to in the coming months. Thanks in part to continued support from the developer, the game remains one of the most popular titles on the market. In fact, Minecraft made the 5 most played games on Xbox and PlayStation for 2025. It ranked just behind powerhouses like Fortnite and GTA 5. If Mojang can keep adding content as popular as babymobs, it could remain among the most played games throughout 2026 as well.
Hopefully, the release date of the next game release will be revealed soon, so players can know when the base game will get these adorable features. In the meantime, it will be interesting to see what else Minecraft fan concepts are shared with the game's community.
