Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Saga can Finally ends. The game was revealed all the way back in 2017, over eight years ago, but a turmoil development cycle meant it was started in 2019, with retro studios that took responsibility. It then went Radio Silent for five years, before it was revealed in its current format in June last year. At that time, Nintendo confirmed that the game was scheduled to be released in 2025.

But outside a few short direct performances and a random advertisement in London Underground, the news has been quite sparse. With less than four months left, we still don't even have a release date.

Hopefully, however, it may be about to change, as Nintendo has just revealed that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond will be played later this month, but only if you live in Canada.

Fan Expo Canada takes place at the Metro Convention Center in Toronto between August 21-24 this year. It will contain lots of celebrity performances, including Michael J. Fox, Ewan McGregor, William Shatner and Mike Tyson, along with a very rare display for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond.

In an official press release, Nintendo said: “Bring your friends and family to experience games like Mario Kart World and the recently released Donkey Kong Bananza. Fan Expo participants will be able to play upcoming games like Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (available later 2025).”

Alongside Prime 4, players will be practically with the Switch 2 versions of Hades 2, Borderlands 4 and the Elden Ring Tarnished Edition. There is much for players to get excited.

After some worrying rumors, it is also good to see that Nintendo has confirmed that the game will still come out this year.

This is the second time Metroid Prime 4 will be played after its demo during Nintendo Switch 2's Experience tour that took place before the console's launch.
