-
Mega Man sales numbers have long decreased, but Mega Man 11 has seemingly bucketed that trend.
-
Through updated measurement values, Mega Man 11 has crossed two million units sold, making it the only best -selling item in the franchise.

To this point, things on the Mega Man front have been quite quiet, with the blue bombers usually part of collaborations, but not solo adventures.
For a franchise as long -lasting, iconic and inspiring as mega man has been, its sales number has been everything except that. In fact, the sales numbers have long been spaced. Crow it up to the large number of titles, or the fact that some were produced during record time, but Mega Man has not always had the sales numbers to back up their decades long inheritance.

Switch Online has added Mega Man 5 for gameboy and you all have to play it
Mega Man 5 is an original game that not enough people played. Now your chance is to get into this hidden gem.
But via new sales numbers distributed by Capcom, it seems that the blue bombers have some celebrations to do. As first discovered by Rockman Corner, a Mega Man fan website, Mega Man 11 has been revealed to have topped two million units in worldwide sales, making it the only best-selling post in the franchise.
The information comes via Capcom's own Platinum titles, where it lists the sales figures for its titles. There, Mega Man 11 has risen to be the company's 65th best -selling title, before the original Legacy Collection (1.60), Mega Man 2 (1.51), X Legacy Collection (1.40), Battle Network 4 (1.35), X (1.16) and 3 (1.08).
Where has the blue bomb plan gone?
While sales data for 2018 is very encouraging, hardcore fans are constantly wondering when they will see mega man back in action. By 2023, Capcom said it wants to “take care of how we develop the series” forward. But things have been quiet since.
With no new title on the horizon, Blue Bomber has largely been moved to Cameo service. For some reason, Mega Man was a playable character in funko fusion, the game based on the popular vinyl figures. There was also a mega collaboration with the MAN-theme in Exoprimal, plus Battle Network costumes in last year's dead Rising Deluxe Remastered. Oh, and Mega Man Coffee. In other words, maybe these updated sales numbers can give Capcom just the kick it needs to save Mega Man from Cameo Purgatory.
