Marvel Rivals has a pretty good list full of household names, supplemented by a litter of really out their choices that give the whole thing a little more flavor. You have such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, Starlord who fights in the same game as Luna Snow, Squirrel Girl and Jeff the Land Shark, who have all entered mainstream thanks to their enclosures.
Even the game's mascot, Galacta, is a good example of this, what about being the daughter of the more popular Galactus, who first appeared in Marvel Comics as early as 2009.

Marvel -Rivals really don't need crossovers
There is enough content to make mine in Marvel alone. Why look somewhere else?
When he spoke to PC Gamer, Marvel Rival's executive producer Danny Koo discussed potential new additions to the game's list, and which heroes/villains could make the average. Since Marvel is such a massive franchise with a huge story of characters to choose from, almost all of their personal list of who should do the cut, and Koo says that “nothing is questioned at the moment.”
Marvel Rival's characters need unique “silhouettes”
However, it seems that the developers at Netease have some provisions for who would make a good character. Koo says that one of the main focus when deciding characters is to make them “distinct” apart:
“For example, Hulk and Red Hulk have about the same silhouette, so we may not want to do it. [abilities] Must also be just as distinct because we have all kinds of players. “
It is interesting that Koo uses Red Hulk as an example, as it means that we can get a good idea of characters that will not be added. If Red Hulk is the bar, it means that those like the US agent and war machine are almost definitely off the table as well. It may also mean that characters like Carnage and Miles Morales may not be possible, because they have very similar silhouettes like Venom and Spider-Man.
Again, you can easily make another unique movement for Miles Morales, thanks to his poison forces and invisibility. We have to wait and see what Netease cooking, but it seems that we can safely say that if there is a character out there that is already very similar to someone in the Marvel Rival list, chances are you will not see them added. However, there are always skins, right?
