Hexworks has released a brand new January update for Lords of the Fallenimproves Lampbearer's 2025 game in version 1.7.73. Lords of the Fallen was first released in 2023 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S users, with an Unreal Engine 5 build as the successor to the 2014 game of the same name. Using soul-like elements in third-person action, the game recruits Lampbearers to navigate the land of Mournstead and clear magical beacons to prevent the return of the dark god Adyr.
Lords of the Fallens latest update deployed in December, implemented more tweaks to the dash and roll system and improved the blood animation shown in Pieta's cutscene after defeat. Although the update is smaller in scale, similar to the current January patch, the fixes managed to target specific issues experienced by players, including the chance to explore Mournstead and interact with Vestiges and Umbral exit points with nearby enemies.

It looks like Lords of the Fallen 2 will be skipping Steam at launch
There's already a Lords of the Fallen sequel in the works, but to fans' dismay, it doesn't appear to be a Steam release.
Posted on the game's social media accounts, Hexworks informed Lords of the Fallen players of the new live update, noting that the changes were a response to ongoing player feedback. One of the main benefits focused on improvements to online connectivity, which improved the overall smoothness of the game by reducing rubber bands and lags, allowing players to defeat Lords of the Fallens hardest bosses more seamlessly. Players can now choose between male and female body types when using the character creator, and Umbral exploration was improved by including a new sound option to adjust the realm's atmosphere.
