Diablo 4: Lord of Hatreds map of the new region of Skovos may have leaked online, with a new image showcasing a never-before-seen look at the region. While Diablo 4 has confirmed that the upcoming Lord of Hatred expansion will take players to Skovos, a region that has yet to appear in the series, details on the layout of the map itself have not been officially shared. There is no official confirmation of the map's authenticity, but it lines up well with what has already been shared about the expansion.
IN Diablo lore, Skovos is a pivotal location in the greater world of Sanctuary, said to be the place where Lilith and Inarius created the nephalem that would later become humanity. As such, Skovos is steeped in ancient tradition and is home to the Askari civilization, from which the iconic Diablo 2 Amazon class is coming. Although Skovos is mentioned throughout Diablo series, it has never appeared as a playable location, leaving fans to speculate about what the region will actually look like in the game.

Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred Skovos map appears leaked online
Posted on Reddit by user SheWhoHates, an article on German site GameStar includes an image of what appears to be an in-game map of Skovos from Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred. The post goes over the publicly available details of the upcoming expansion, but the inclusion of this image appears to be new. A reverse search of the image yields no other results, pointing to the GameStar article as the sole source, leaving the authenticity of the map in question.
However, as user SheWhoHates points out, there is an important connection between this leaked map and the map shown on the official Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred page for the new War Plans mechanic. Comparing these two map layouts shows that they are almost identical, lending credence to the authenticity of the newly leaked one. With no other source to verify its authenticity, the map included in GameStar's article should still be treated as unverified until Blizzard officially confirms it.
The leaked image contains a division of Skovos into 7 sub-regions, including:
-
Philios
-
Themis
-
Lycander
-
Athulua
-
Athanasius
-
Celestia
-
Skartara
Previous renderings of the map of Sanctuary show that Skovos has the islands of Philios, Lycander and Skartara enclosed in the island chain. However, this new map includes the locations of Temis, Athulua, Atanos, and Celestia, further supporting the idea that this is a new incarnation of the region designed specifically for Lord of Hatred.
There is still the possibility that this is a fan-made map, as it differs from previous renderings of Skovos in a significant way. According to the map of Sanctuary shown in The Book of Lorath from the Horadric Vault series, Skovos is much less connected, with Philios, Lycander, and Skartara as completely separate islands. However, in this newly leaked image, Skovos appears as one large, interconnected island with these new sub-regions connecting the previously known islands, suggesting a major shift in canon if this image is indeed real.
While Blizzard has shared quite a bit of information about the upcoming Lord of Hatred DLC, the exact details of features like the map of Skovos and the mysterious second new playable class have been kept under lock and key. Since the reveal of the expansion at The Game Awards 2025 and subsequent shadow release of the Paladin class for Diablo 4 Season 11, not many more details have been shared either officially or via leaks. As Lord of Hatred's April 28th launch date approaches, Diablo 4 fans can probably expect to hear more about what the expansion will have in store in the near future.
