Kishimoto confirms Konoha's new strongest Ninja

The era of Shinobi has also moved forward drastically, meaning that a new generation of powerful ninja is now at the forefront. Fans may be wondering how Kawaki is Konoha's strongest ninja. To understand it, you only need to look and the current state of events Boruto. Sasuke and Naruto are nowhere to be seen at this point. Considering how fast things are moving, it's quite clear that Kawaki will eventually surpass both Naruto and Sasuke. While both of these monsters wielded a tremendous level of power, Kawaki, with all of Isshiki's powers, will grow far beyond them. He will master the powers of Karma, and his scientific ninja body, which was improved by Amado, will allow him to reach a level even higher than Otsutsuki. All of these things will combine to give him a strength far greater than Naruto and Sasuke.

Based on where the story is right now, Kawaki's development is pretty clear. He is an incredibly strong ninja who aims to protect Konoha and the world from Otsutsuki. But something happens later that leads him down the wrong path. In the prologue of the Boruto series, it is quite clear to see that he has destroyed all of Konoha.

At the same time, it is also very clear that he wishes for the age of Shinobi to end forever. To do that, he wants to finish off Boruto Uzumaki as well, and that's what the final fight is all about. That's quite ironic Kawaki will aim to destroy the ninja world created by Naruto Uzumakihis idol, and undo the years of work Naruto put into building a world safe for all.
