Kevin Feige reveals that Disney is not allowed to add Miles Morales to MCU

MCU is about to pick up speed, unlike everything we have seen since the final building to Infinity War and Endgame, starts with Fantastic Four: First Steps later this week. Many characters from the series that have never appeared in the MCU will before make their debut on the way to Doomsday and thereafter. But the man who calls all the pictures has confirmed Miles Morales will not be one of them.

Marvel Studios Boss sat down with variety to discuss all things MCU, with a special focus on the franchise immediately and in some cases the distant future. Of course, it included trying to extract information from Feige about some of the more remarkable comic characters that are currently waiting to be introduced to Disney's cinematic multiral. Unfortunately, Miles is not one of them.

It can be accused of being a copycat game, but Marvel Rival has been happy even though they have been accused of coping Overwatch.

Feige gave understandably vague answers when discussing other heroes and villains Marvel fans are eager to see. That was not the case when he was pressed for Morales. “It's nowhere,” replied Feige unclearly when asked about a potential project with the new Spider-Man as his star. “We've been told to stay away.”

Feige did not go into the minute of why Miles can't join the MCU yet, and he did not explicitly say who “we” are who has the power to command Disney to stay away from a character that it almost certainly dies to use, but it seems to be everything tied in Sony in everything again. The main reason that Miles has shot to mainstream fame and become the Spider-Man over Peter Parker for a whole new generation of Marvel fans, is thanks to Sony's fantastic Spider-Verse movies.

Feige did not say it specifically, but it probably means that other Spider-man characters are outside the boundaries until they are also ready in the Spider verses, so no Spider-Gwen or Spider-Man 2099.

There is still another of these films, in addition to Spider-verses, to come, whose release date has just been pressed a little further in the distance and will not be here until at least June 25, 2027. Since Disney can't even think about using miles until after that date, it means no new web linger in Secret Wars, which will be released later that year. Feige confirmed in the same interview that Secret Wars will be a soft restart for the MCU, with some of its individual timelines that receive a recovery.

Although we will not get miles in the MCU thanks to a Sony Spider-Man affair that was signed more than 20 years ago, we can see him appear in Marvel rivals. Although he has not been part of the many rivals leaking, the Dev team recently confirmed that no one from Marvel's entire history is outside the boundaries.
