Juli's rumored Nintendo Direct can include animal transition, but what will it be?

It feels like there are always rumors about the next Nintendo Direct, and this time we expect one to come around before the end of July. Which, given the time of the year and that Nintendo Switch 2 is in great need of more games, seems quite likely.

However, there are also rumors that we will see a new animal crossing announcement at the next directly, which can potentially lead to a 2026 edition. This is more difficult to predict, but I have talked about why I think this seems to be a likely release window for the game already, and if these rumors make the rounds I am inclined to believe in them.

I might just be able to do. Shut up, I need this.

But if we really see a new animal crossing pop up for Nintendo Switch 2, there are some things I really hope we see. I'm sure Nintendo is reading this right now, so let's come directly to it.

Agriculture and agriculture

Just can't hold animals, I guess

Animals that cross new horizons villagers outside with tomatoes carrots and crops.

After the 2020 release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons brought the 2.0 update at the end of 2021 with it many additions, including the ability to grow on your adorable island paradise.

In the wake of the ever -popular (and over -saturated) agricultural genre, the animal transition rose to make it part of the beer life as well. Now it was not really an economy for this supplement as with turnow, and it was mainly to create some dishes and themed furniture.

But as I approach a new animal transition, I hope that Nintendo includes agriculture from the beginning and potentially as a nuclear element in the experience. It would be something to think about when we build up our new cities and just give another reason to pick up the game every day. People love to be absorbed in the cabbage market to make a profit, so imagine an entire harvesting economy to take advantage of. Tom Nook would be proud.

Give Brewster his own place again

Brewster and the player's character from Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

When we finally saw Brewster arrived in new horizons, I was disappointed to see that his cafe – The Roost – was back to being a hidden hook in the depth of the museum. We have seen him have a separate business before, so why we returned to this, I'm not sure.

It would be meaningful, in a game that is about decorating your own island, building a sweet little cafe. You can have a nice quiet place to visit, fully furnished, with an exterior you can review, plus trees and outdoor seating. Hopefully, with the next match, we can see Brewster thrive.

Hopefully we don't have to wait months just to see him.

A city to visit

Let's go back to the city

Japanese city themes in animal transition

There is a wonderful piece of Allyson Cochran that dives a little deeper into this concept, but mainly: Give us a city to visit again.

I have no idea if the next animal transition will again take place on an island or return to the mainland, but with what is necessary, give us a place to visit for specialty stores, exclusive entertainment and a way to add even more developing elements to the experience.

A step further: Imagine a city in animal crossing as a collection hub, where you can meet other players also on their trips to the city, which makes society and the world feel more alive than ever before. This can either be a real online connection where other players are in the same session, or even as simple as Splatoon's cities, where you can see NPCs representing other players.

Speaking of multiplayer …

We have always had the ability to create several houses in our animal transition cities, with enough room for some other family members or friends who use the same console. It is a great way to share the joy of building a city, but it has always been divided in turn.

What if we had this ability, but over several consoles, so that you and your friends or your partner could live in the same city, which contributes to the same milestones and goals? Or even be able to visit friends and maybe get permission to make changes or help. None of this “you can't move furniture while someone visits” – why?

It would only increase the magic of the animal transition to any way, be able to play more cooperatively with other players, rather than just visiting just to look around and shop for a few things.

Give me hdr -sun loss or give me death

Finally, this is a bit obvious, but after the lack of updates for new horizons on Switch 2, I would be a little disappointed if a new animal crossing looked comparable to the post six years before. Sure, it will look like Animal intersection, but when we are dealing with a console that can handle Cyberpunk 2077, all I ask for a little more feeling here and there.

Use the upscaling and HDR lighting and let's get bigger than ever before. I do not specifically know what can be possible or what can even fit animal transition – and we have not yet seen Switch 2 being pushed into some kind of extensive potential – but I hope that animal transitions can be a strong start to start showing off.

Use the new HD Rumble to make us feel that the Resetti tunnel through the ground to bark us or something, IDK.
