Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 had a phenomenal premiere. Fans who hadn't seen the compilation movie or read the manga didn't know what they were in for. Both episodes were absolutely top-notch, and if it's a sign of things to come, it's safe to say that Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 will be one of the best anime of 2026.

The new season debuted with two new episodes, and they were mainly focused on Yuta vs. Yuji and the Culling Game. It also featured the debut of Naoya Zenin, an elite wizard from the Zenin clan. He even gave viewers a glimpse of his insane physical abilities in the episode.

One of the main highlights from the two episodes was the fight between Yuta and Yuji. Towards the end of the second season, Yuta arrived in Japan on behalf of the top brass from Jujutsu High, as they wanted to get rid of Itadori Yuji. For years, Yuji had been kept safe by Gojo Satoru, but after the latter was sealed away by Kenjaku, the higher ups were free to do as they pleased. So they ordered the extermination of Itadori Yuji. News of Yuji's extinction began to spread, as even Naoya Zenin was aware of it.
It took Yuta a while to find Yuji, and once he did there was no stopping him. Yuji tried his best to escape, but his senior was far too powerful. The chase ended when Rika came out. The cursed spirit immobilized Yuji, giving Yuta the opportunity to stab him in the chest. After the incident, Yuta went to Naoya's place and saved him from Choso. Yuta told Naoya that Yuji was dead, and he also asked the wizard to report the same to the higher ups at Jujutsu High.
Shortly after, it was revealed that Yuta had not killed Yuji. When he stabbed Yuji, the wizard had used Reverse Cursed Energy to heal his junior. Yuji was surprised by Yuta's behavior, and of course he wanted to know the truth behind his senior's actions. It was at that point that Yuta revealed how he had met Gojo Satoru, who had then asked him to protect Yuji from all harm. After the reveal, Yuta, Yuji, and Choso went to meet Tsukumo and Maki to initiate the next part of the plan, which involved meeting Tengen.

JJK Season 3 Episode 3 will be full of action
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Episode 3 will be released on January 15, 2026. The episode is called “About the Culling Game”. As the name suggests, the episode will focus on the Culling Game. In the previous episode, Megumi told Yuji how Noritoshi Kamo had organized the Culling Game and about Tsukimi being forced to participate in the tournament. After hearing about Tsukimi, Yuji agreed to help his friend.
JJK Season 3 Episode 3 will shed more light on the rules of the Culling Game and the participants who will be in the competition. So far, a total of eight different rules have been revealed, but they have not been covered in depth. Hopefully the next episode will change that. Being organized by Noritoshi Kamo, there is no doubt that it will feature some of the strongest characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. Naturally, Itadori and his allies need to learn more about the tournament as quickly as possible.

As said before, Yuji and his friends have already reached Tengen's location, so they will ask him about the Culling Game. In addition, they will likely earn valuable information about freeing Gojo Satoru from the prison realm. Normally, Yuji would have prioritized helping his teacher, but he will have to pay more attention to the Culling Game, as Tsukimi's life depends on it.
Where to watch Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Episode 3?
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Episode 3 will be available to watch on Crunchyroll almost immediately after the premiere in Japan. The episode will be available in sub format, meaning it will have Japanese audio and English subtitles. Fans who want to watch the dubbed version will have to be patient, as Crunchyroll has not shared an exact release date for it. However, it is speculated that it will arrive somewhere between January and March 2026.
