Jennifer Aniston breaks down on-camera as fans fume at producers: ‘So insensitive’

Jennifer Aniston was seen holding back tears after being asked a question Friends in a heartbreaking interview.

The actress broke down in tears at the mention of the beloved sitcom, just months after the death of her co-star Matthew Perry.

When speaking to actress Quinta Brunson for Variety, the producers pressured her into questioning Aniston about her time on the show, and things quickly escalated as a result.

“Oh God, don’t make me cry,” Aniston told Brunson as she was overcome with emotion.

“I won’t… you’re already crying, do you want a minute?” Brunson asked her, looking worried.

Aniston wiped tears from her face as she explained that she was fine, alluding to the fact that mention of the show made her think of her co-star Matthew Perry, who died last year.

“I’m fine. It’s a tear of joy,” he stammered. “It’s so strange to even think that I’m 30. I remember the day it was going to premiere, you know, on television, on NBC.

“Matthew Perry and I were having lunch somewhere and we knew Lisa [Kudrow] she was dying her hair so we ran to the hairdresser and I sneaked up and she was in the hair bowl of the sink and I grabbed the nozzle and started washing her hair.

“And it definitely got out of control and it was unfortunate, but the excitement we had, and it seems like yesterday.”

Fans were quick to criticize the producers for pushing Aniston to talk about such an emotional topic, and many praised Brunson for how he handled the awkward moment.

“I feel so sorry about Jennifer, why would they ask her that question?” a fan asked.

“I don’t care about Jennifer’s opinions, that was really disgusting to ask her,” ranted a second annoyed fan.

Others complimented Brunson, saying, “What an absolute supporter Quinta is, she’s so sweet,” while another added, “The question was so unnecessary. They clearly just wanted a reaction from Jen. To hell with them.”

“This is so insensitive. They just wanted a climax like this of Jen breaking down,” another fan added.

“The question wasn’t necessary otherwise they could have asked it another way. Damn, they could have asked Jen if she wanted to respond sooner. They are still human! Also, good on Quinta for the way she handled it!
