It's time to say goodbye to Naruto Uzumaki for now

If it's a thing fans of Naruto series would love to see Borutoit is the return of their beloved Seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki. Ever since Boruto series started, Naruto Uzumaki has been subjected to quite a bit of abuse from the new writer, Mikio Ikemoto, and it really isn't nice to see. He's already gotten nervous on several occasions, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. The largest The problem with Naruto Uzumaki is that he has been shut out of history totally for now.

Naruto Uzumaki is not directly involved in Boruto anymore, and that's mainly because he was sealed by Kawaki. It's been over two years since that happened, and every day fans of the character are hoping for an update on his return. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Naruto Uzumaki is coming back anytime soon in Boruto. If anything, it has just been confirmed in the Boruto series that Naruto's return will have to waitpossibly for several years. As such, fans will have to say goodbye to their favorite Hokage for now.

At the end of the Naruto Next Generations manga, fans officially saw Naruto Uzumaki sealed by Kawaki in the Daikokuten dimension, along with Hinata Hyuga. Kawaki did this to protect them from the threat of Otsutsukibut also to make sure they don't get in the way when, in the quest to eliminate all Otsutsuki, he runs into Boruto to kill him. Since then, the story has progressed quite a bit and there is still no sign of Naruto Uzumaki coming back.

If anything, it latest arc of Boruto just confirmed to fans that Naruto won't be back for yearspossibly, and that is quite disappointing. First, Jura has officially declared his target to be Naruto Uzumaki, after learning that he is still alive. More than that, the fans know now Kawaki will do anything he can to protect Naruto. In other words, Kawaki will not free Naruto Uzumaki while Jura is alive, which also means that all Shinju must die before his official return.

The battle is years away for now

Meanwhile, fans must also remember that when Kawaki fights Boruto, he says that he will send him to the same location as the Seventh Hokage, meaning that the Seventh Hokage is still in the said locations, which in this case is the dimension of the Daikokuten. This means that Naruto Uzumaki will only be freed after the battle between Kawaki and Boruto. It also means he won't be coming back anytime soon.

To put things into perspective, Shinju will take at least 20-30 chapters to crush. At least it will be about two years, and then fans will have the fight against Kawaki to look forward to. Again, this arc will also take anywhere between 1-3 years to fully unfold, which means Naruto's return won't happen until the next 3 yearsat least. It might even take five years or more, which is shocking, but that's the reality Naruto fans are facing.
