In summer 2025, Anime only knocked out Sakamoto Days and Dandadan

From starting the year with Solo Leveling Season 2 to looking at Takopi's original sin in the summer of 2025, it has only been a phenomenal ride so far. The great thing about the anime industry is that sometimes an unclear title can exceed a more popular, and that is exactly what has happened to Tougen Anki.

According to a new report, Tougen Anki has climbed to the top of the Netflix lists in Japan, and it has entered the global top 5. This is a major performance for the series, as both Sakamoto days and Dandadan have a massive fan after.

Tougen Anki's popularity is increasing, and it can be one of the biggest surprises in 2025 if it keeps up. Tougen Anki has a solid history and an excellent role of characters, which are two of the most important pillars in all successful anime series.

Tougen Anki's anime adaptation has been produced by Studio Hibari. It may not be as popular as Mappa, Madhouse or Studio Pierrot, but it has created many outstanding adjustments. These include:

Toilet-bound hanako kun
Murder classroom
Danganronpa: Animation

Given the studio's history, it is hardly surprising that Tougen Anki's anime adaptation has proven to be so good. So far, Anime has released four episodes, and there are still 20 episodes left, which will be sent in two consecutive courses.

Although adaptation is not completely horrible, there are some areas where it can be improved. TMS Entertainment is more than capable of improving the series and taking it to the next level. Hopefully, the third season of Anime will see a nail when it comes to animation quality.
