The stethoscope is one of many tools used to detect symptoms in Quarantine Zone: The Last Checkwith players looking for black spots and listening to the lungs of survivors. Compared to simpler tools, it can be a bit tricky to understand, and since only one respiratory symptom is known initially, there are two additional stethoscope symptoms to investigate using the laboratory.

Looking for black zones
The first step with the stethoscope is to look for any black zones on the lungs. When you hover over these, they may disappear, meaning that specific location is fine. Visually, black zones are the only thing to watch out for.
Black zones can too shown on the backso make sure to go around the survivor, make sure nothing is missed.
However, this does not mean that all black zones will disappear, so keep looking. If any black zones remain after being examined, it is a symptom. If all black zones disappear, the survivor has no lung problems.
Listens to black zones & looks for high frequencies
Once a lingering black zone has been found, players must now investigate it. They should notice high amplitude waves on the stethoscopebut the most important clue comes from listen to the survivor breathing as he soars above these black zones.
Listen to them, and then listen to the examples in the symptom chart to compare. Only Sickly Breath is known at first, so if it's right, pick this, but if you hear a new sound, send the survivor to the lab for testing, hopefully discovering a new lung symptom.

Bad breath – Disease
A sick breath will cause one low hissing sound and will show light green with the color upgrade.
Nonspecific breathing – Disease or infection
Nonspecific respiratory symptoms mean the survivor is coming wheezing when you inhale, but exhale quietlyy.
It is difficult to differentiate between nonspecific breathing and the sick breathing, so get it Color indicator upgrade and look for it to be more yellow-green.
