Earn good money in the early hours of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen can be difficult, but the Nugget Bridge money glitch makes it so you can earn infinite money fast. Since the new FRLG ports are almost exactly the same as they were when they came out on the Game Boy Advance in 2004, it turns out that this particular technical exploit is still in both games' files as well.
Getting the most out of this glitch requires a very specific process, but you can soon end up with all the Poké Dollars you need for the entire playthrough. Here is the exact step-by-step walkthrough on how to make money fast with the Nugget Bridge bug in FRLG.
How to make money with Nugget Bridge Glitch
In Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, the Nugget Bridge Glitch can allow you to earn infinite money quickly by allowing you to grab the Nugget from the Rocket Grunt at the end of the Nugget Bridge in Cerulean City, lose to him in battle on purpose, whiteout and revive at the Pokémon Center with Nugget (worth 5000 Poké Dollars) in your inventory — so you can repeat the process again and take as many Nuggets until you're satisfied.
Getting to the Nugget Bridge
If you are not in Cerulean City yet, you must first defeat the rock-like gym leader Brock in Pewter City. Then you can access route 3, get to the other side of Mt. Moon, and finally make it to Cerulean City after walking along route 4 to the right.
North of Cerulean City is the Nugget Bridge. You know you're on the right track when your rival meets you at the bottom and challenges you to a battle. Beat him, and then you can take on the five trainers scattered across the length of the Nugget Bridge.
The Rocket Grunt In Disguise
After defeating the fifth trainer, The NPC with his back to the hedge is Team Rocket Grunt in disguise. It turns out that the Nugget he gave you as a prize is an incentive to try to recruit you into the criminal organization.
Your character automatically says no, and Rocket Grunt will want to challenge you to a battle.
But before you talk to him, save your gamego back to the Pokemon Center, deploy your entire team and only draw out a low level weak Pokemon that his Level 15 Ekans can defeat in one move and makes the process of taking advantage of this glitch much faster.
In this case, we used a Level 2 Mankey we chose Route 2. When Rocket Grunt's Ekans defeats you, you will whiteout and end up back in the Pokemon Center.
Check your bag and you'll see The nugget that Rocket Grunt gave you is still in your bag. You can sell each Nugget to a Poke Mart for 5000 Poké Dollars.
What's more, the rest of your progress is still reset to before Rocket Grunt gave you the nugget; so, as long as you don't defeat him, he will give you a free Nugget every time you approach him again after losing.
Repeat the mistake for as much money as you want
From the Cerulean City Pokémon Center, to running back to Rocket Grunt, getting another nugget, fighting him and losing again, it took us about 72 seconds. That means you can 60,000 Poké Dollars worth of Nuggets in just 12 minutes of the rinse and repeat of FireRed and LeafGreen's endless Nugget Bridge money failures.
Before you start taking advantage of the bug, though go to Poke Mart and spend the rest of your money on which Poke Balls or extra items you need.
This is because you would normally lose some of your money every time you lose a battle, but if you still have none left when you lose to this Rocket Grunt, you won't lose any extra money in exchange for getting the failed Nuggets.

Other ways to make money fast
Amulet coin
Unfortunately, if you've already defeated Team Rocket Grunt on Nugget Bridge, that means you'll no longer be able to take advantage of the infinite money glitch, but there are other ways to make quick money – like use the amulet coin to double the prize money you get from battles.
Specifically, the Amulet Coin is an item you get from one of Professor Oak's henchmen at the Route 16 building west of Celadon City. As long as you have 40 different Pokémon in your Pokédex, he will give this item to you right away, and you can give it to any Pokémon you want.
Against. Applicant
Go to the blue-haired NPC in the Vermillion City Pokemon Center, and she'll give you the Vs. Seeker: a key item that you can activate and get nearby trainers in your opinion, whom you have beaten before, to want to fight you again.
This means that not only do you defeat the same trainer multiple times for extra Poké Dollars, but it's also a nice handy way to grind to level up some of your Pokémon as well. Pair this with the Amulet Coin, and you'll walk away with thousands of extra Poké Dollars after defeating just a few trainers at a time.
Selling other valuables
Along with the Nuggets you can get from the Nuggets Bridge Glitch, FireRed and LeafGreen's campaign will also see you find more tradable Nuggets along with other valuables — like Big Pearls (worth 5,000 Poké Dollars), Stardust (worth 1,500), Pearls (1,000) and Big Mushrooms (2,500).
If you find any of these and are low on cash, take these to a Poke Mart immediately and replenish your cash.
