From offset of Code Vein 2you are given your mission – to defeat the heroes guarding the seals on the Resurgence so that you can destroy it permanently. And to do that, you have to do a lot of time travel.
There are a few twists in the story at the end, though it always revolves around the fate of the Resurrection and Luna Rapacis holding it. And that fate can unfold in a few different ways.
How many endings are there?
total, Code Vein 2 has three endings for you to unlock. These are as follows:
- A hero's end
- The Luna Brothers
- Miraculous bonds
A Hero's End is the standard ending to the game, while Luna Fraterna and Miraculous Bonds act more like expansions on the first one, rather than being completely unique endings in their own right.

Can you unlock every ending in a single playthrough?
The downside to open world games is the fear that after unlocking an ending, you'll have to start a whole new playthrough just to see the rest of them. Mercifully, Code Vein 2 streamlines this process.
Not only you can unlock every ending in a single playthroughyou are expected. It's not even particularly complicated, although the game definitely tries to dissuade you from it at times.
After completing the first ending, you can proceed to the second no matter what. The third ending requires a bit more effort and awareness. After reloading your completed save after the second ending, you can start New Game Plus. Do not do this if you have not yet unlocked the third and final ending.
Every ending and how to unlock it
A hero's end
A Hero's End is the default ending to the game that you will always get first, regardless of your choices. This occurs in Luna Rapacis, after you defeat Hero Valentin at the end.
Immediately after the fight and subsequent cutscenes, the game will end. You will still have a chance to complete any missed content while continuing with the final ending, so don't worry about missed content.
The Luna Brothers
After completing the first ending, Zenon will appear on the screen to hint that there is more still to this story. He will then helpfully (but a little unpleasantly) replace Lou on the main menu, with a small icon of him pointing quickly at the “Continue” button.
As you might have guessed, you have to press the continue button here to proceed to the other end. Do not load any other saves as you may overwrite Zenon's continue button. If this occurs, just defeat Hero Valentin again.
Once uploaded, you're set the chance to travel to the past againthis time to the beginning of the upheaval. This will have you scale the Sealing Spire and fight another unique boss at the end. After this you will see the second ending of the game, Luna Fraterna.
As before, you still have the option to do so reload this save and complete any content you haven't done so beforehand, even after beating the boss. This means that if you haven't met the conditions for the final ending, you still have the means to do so.
Miraculous bonds
The third and final ending to the game is Miraculous Bonds, and it is the only one not guaranteed to you. After completing the Luna Fraterna ending, you are brought back to the main menu, which has Lou again.
If you meet the conditions for this ending, a new button will appear, 'Save Lou'. This will start a separate mini-campaign (about an hour) that automatically carries over your level and items from when you completed the Luna Fraterna ending.
In the “Rescue Lou” campaign you do not gain or lose Haze, nor can you level up. Make sure you're happy with your build when you achieve the Luna Fraterna ending.
To unlock this ending you must have completed each timeline shift decision missions throughout the game. These never time out, so until the Luna Fraterna final boss ends, you can go back and complete these missions. They are as follows:
- Timeline Displacement Decision – Noah
- Timeline Displacement Decision – Josée
- Timeline Shift Decision – Holly
- Timeline Displacement Decision – Lyle
With all of these completed and these heroes given a much happier ending, you will have unlocked the funds to play through and complete the Rescue Lou campaign and the Miraculous Bonds ending. If you did not have all of these quests completed when you first achieved the Luna Fraterna ending, just beat the boss again to unlock it.
The Rescue Lou campaign is separate from your other rescues, and Any items and Boosters you have received cannot be transferred back to your main storage. You can still return to your main game save to start a New Game Plus run whenever you want.
