Pokemon Pokopia have you revitalize the various areas you visit and encourage Pokémon to return to the barren land by building habitats that will lure them back. After a while, you'll realize that it's hard to keep track of where all the habitats and Pokemon are.
Given that your little Pokemon friends all have specialties that you have to take advantage of, when you want to find a specific 'mon so you can get your color, bricks, or whatever you need, how can you find them? Fortunately, there are a few different ways.
Use honey if you know where its habitat is
If you know where the habitat is for the Pokemon you're trying to find, you can easily use honey to lure them home. Simply walk up to the habitat in question with honey in hand and choose to “use” it. Pokemon is coming back soon!
You can easily get honey from flowers that are sparkling.
But if you can't remember where their habitat is, there are a couple of other methods you can use.
Search by asking other Pokemon
Enter your Pokedex from the menu, select the Pokemon you're looking for, then use the + button to select “Search” for them. The game will confirm that you want to search for that Pokémon, and then your ditto will walk around with its Pokedex in hand.
Walk up to any Pokemon while doing this and they'll know who you're looking for and annotate where they can be found, with the camera panning in the direction you should be able to find them.
If the Pokémon isn't home in the area you ask, the Pokémon will tell you they think they live somewhere else. Move to another location and try again there.
Teleport directly to its habitat
The The easiest way to find a specific Pokemon is to teleport directly to it. Or at least its habitat. If it's not there, you can then use the Honey trick to lure it home.
To do this you must choose to search for a Pokemon from the Pokedex as we mentioned before, but then you have to talk to a Pokémon with the Teleport Specialtyand they will offer to teleport you there.
You can only use this if the Pokemon you're looking for is within the same area. However, you can have a Teleport Pokémon follow you through a gate so you can use them in whatever area you need to find your desired Pokémon companion.
Pokemon with Teleport Specialty
These are all Pokemon that have the Teleport Specialty. If you don't have them yet, check out our Habitat guide to find out how to get them.
