Astra Malorum Easter Egg Walkthrough – CoD BO7
Here's a simple step-by-step guide that will take you through the entire Astra Malorum Easter Egg mission in Black Ops 7 Zombies!
How to Start the Pillars of Mars Step into the Astra Malorum and retrieve the Mars Bird
To begin with, of course, you must first have access to Mars in Astra Malorum. We have a guide specifically for that step, which you can find here. Now that you're on Mars, you'll want to pick up Dr. Thurston's brain in the center of the map and then place it inside the altar in the upper part of Mars. Interact now with Dr. Thurston's brain in the altar to trigger a beep.
With the beep triggered, immediately go to the east window on Mars, where you will find 4 pylons in the distance. Shoot the far right pylon with your gun and it will glow blue and attract the Ascendant Eye bird. Now shoot the farthest left pylon, then the nearest right pylon and finally the nearest left pylon.
When the pylons are active, immediately turn around and shoot the pylon ball above the altar while facing west. This will glow blue and force the Ascendant Eye to freeze in place. You have to keep activating the orb to freeze the Ascendant Eye while you wait for low gravity, and while you wait for the Ascendant Eye to be within a low enough location to grab it with a jump. Once you have it, place it in the altar found to the south.
How to solve Mars Symbols & Pillars Puzzle in Astra Malorum
With the Ascendant Eye in place, you'll want to use the LGM-1 Wonder Weapon to shoot the tops of 5 unique pillars found on Mars. If you do it correctly, the top of the pillars will glow blue. These pillars are all in the room, and you have to shoot the golden antennae that are on top of these pillars. If any pillar is missing an antenna, try starting a new round or continue with the next step:
-
A pillar is to the south, to the right of the Ascendant Eye.
-
A pillar is found when facing west, to the right of Dr. Thurston's brain.
-
A pillar is found when facing west, to the left of Dr. Thurston's brain.
-
Two pillars are in the north position, between a broken pillar.
You will want to take the portal that takes you back to Astra Malorum and enter the core of the observatory. Interact with the device to the right of the piano and watch for 5 unique symbols to appear. These symbols will have a unique sequence, but one of the symbols will be empty, represented by sound waves. To find the empty symbol, locate the pillar symbol on Mars that doesn't match your shown symbols, so you know where it will be in your sequence.
To solve the Mars pillar and symbol puzzle, you must interact with each of the symbols on the pillars of Mars in the same sequence as the piano shows. These symbols look a little different from piano to pillar, so we've translated each symbol to give you a visual guide.
To solve the puzzle, you must interact with each of the symbols on the pillars in rapid succession. You'll know you've done the step correctly, as the pillar faces will turn blue instead of red, and you can now visit Dr. Thurston's brain to interact with him and start the boss fight.
