How to recruit Akko-san in Yakuza Kiwami 3

The famous Japanese singer, Akiko Wada, makes a cameo appearance Yakuza Kiwami 3 as Akko-san, an in-game celebrity with her own TV show and an army of fans who love her talents. Not only can Kiryu meet her to listen to her sing a wonderful rendition of the beloved Baka Mitai, but Kiryu can also utilize her talents by recruiting her as a Haisai Girl.

How to find and complete Substory #17: Leave everything to Akko-san! In Okinawa!

Stage 1 of Recruiting Akko-san

In Chapter 4, you will be tasked with entering Downtown Ryukyu. Right in front of the Kariyushi Arcade, a cutscene will start and introduce you to Akko-san. Just go to her (if you haven't already) and you can be interviewed, but don't worry about the dialogue options you choose, because they don't matter.

Kiryu will now follow Akko-san through the public market and fight some punks, and the quest will end with Akko-san singing a song of her choice, but we always recommend Baka Mitai. After this small scene, Akko-san's first substory will be completed, and players must complete another substory to unlock her as a Haisai Girl.

Stage 2 of Recruiting Akko-san

After completing Substory #17: Leave It All To Akko-san! In Okinawa, you must have played through the Bad Boy Dragon questline until the Haisai Girls established their base in Kamurocho. This is achieved at Infamy Rank 4 with the Haisai Girls, where you can then complete Total Annihilation: Okinawa's Last Stand.

Soon after, and usually at beginning of chapter 6you will receive an email from Dokuzawa saying that the Haisai Girls have made their base in Kamurocho. You should now get to Tenkaichi St. Entrance in Kamurocho, where you enter a small cutscene where Kiryu remembers texting Akko-san.

Then you must meet Akko-san at Sushi Gin, which is a small restaurant north of W Showa St. When you meet Akko-san, you will play karaoke with her, where your first task is to cheer her on in Casual or Passionate mode (which mode you choose and the score you get doesn't matter). Then it's your turn to play some karaoke, and the same rules apply.

After karaoke, Kiryu and Akko-san will run into some punks to fight in the street, and after fighting them, Kiryu and Akko-san will run into the Haisai Girls, and she will be recruited into the gang.
