Kevin Rian is one of the big noise in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. He is a quasi-grapper with access to large, jacketed normals. But he has much more for him than your typical big punches and kicks. In fact he has some excellent Combo -Router. Especially since his light kicks can link to his heavy punch. Kevin Rian is not the most intuitive character to play on the guard list, but we show you how to land the big duffs and get the most out of his unique tool kit.
Kevin Rian Overview
Kevin Rians neutral games are quite strong. His far -reaching normals help him control space in the intermediate area Pretty neat. These attacks are not only effective, Rangy Tools, but they can also set some fairly fine frame traps. Especially when paired with its hell rotor (⬇ + lp/hp) attack.
Kevin is also equipped with debitable special attacks. Although these are more difficult to work in combinations and are more telegraphed by design, a loaded special attack makes dramatically more damage and tends to lead to a better combination.
Kevin has a command gripWhich makes his close pressure game very scary. In addition, his light attacks can combine into major injuries. Tops all this, kevin has one great Overhead attack and can set fleshy costs at the awakening lightly. Which makes him a huge threat when he is up close.
Since he is so strong on medium to close range, it makes sense that he would be weaker at long reach. Kevin has no projectile, so on a full screen he does not have a way to strike back. What he has, however, is to avoid my (⬇ + lk/hp) Command Roll with Projectile Invinability. Use this roll to wade through fire balls and close this distance.
If you enter the roll command too late, you will be hit, because the invincibility is not On the first frame, unless you, that is, use the Rev version of his role.

Kevin Rian Combos
Kevin has a number of potent combinations at his disposal because he can combine after His super. He also has the luxury of linking his LK to his HP, which immediately opens up some fantastic combination paths, including after things like a cross-up. In addition, you will notice that his HK is involved in a number of his combinations, as it can be interrupted to pop enemies and extend combinations. So you probably want to get used to cancel that fired.
Finally, you will want to practice interrupting his C.HK in his HP. Press LK + HP

This combination does not require the use of any lap meter. However, you can replace these special offers to expand the combination.

This is a big-ass combo. However, The majority of the injuries will be treated when you have done the hell rotor (⬇ LP+HP), so feel free to cut it short, especially if your lap meter goes high.

This is mainly, the same combination as the one you can get from Kevin's contradict Creeper kick (⬇+hk> hp), the only difference is that you start it with a cross-up.
Kevin Rian tips and tricks
The first business order with Kevin Rian points with his HP and HK. If you land a stray hit you can then follow up with a light hell rotor (⬇ + LP). This will not combine, but If they press a button they get mothit. If you are nearby, cancel from his C.HP to his heavy hell rotor (⬇ + HP). This is both an effective frame trap and an overhead.
In addition, when Kevin is near, His lk will combine in his hpthat leads into his special attacks. Or you can take them with his hell arrest (➡ + lk/hp) command grip. This also leads into a combination. When Kevin is a chest chest with his opponent, he can easily switch from a light attack to a strongly harmful combination.
Or so you can use his Creeper kick (⬇ + hk> hp) to land an overhead if they are crouch that blocks for aggressively. This also leads into a large combination if it lands as a counter, which it will often if you use it as your opponent stands up.
In general, Kevin Rian has something pretty good OKI print, especially with his variety of attacks and Movements that are good for avoiding and punishing wake -up normals.
And that's the essence of Kevin Rian's playing field. Fill the screen with normal and special offers, fishing for counter -attacks. If your enemy peels up, you can then start going after the command or overhead. When you get them beaten, set fleshy costs. When you effectively use Kevin, your opponent must thread needle and will often be forced to hide behind their guard.
