IN Everwindplayers can parry by holding down the right mouse button to bring up their shield and then pressing the left mouse button just as an enemy's attack is about to hit them. Executing parries correctly requires very precise timing as even the slightest deviation results in a failed attempt.
Parrying with a weapon is possible by investing a point in the Parry Master skill under the Warrior tree. This allows players to use their melee weapons to parry just as they would with a shield.

How to parry with a weapon in Everwind
Parry with a weapon is unlocked by acquiring Parry Master skill in the Warrior Skill tree. Since this is a level 1 skill, it has no prerequisites, meaning you can get it as soon as you reach level 2.
Functionally, parrying with a weapon works exactly the same as parrying with a shield. You hold down the block button to enter a defensive stance and use the attack button just as an enemy attack is about to hit you to perform a parry.
Both one-handed and two-handed weapons can be used to parry if you have the Parry Master skill. However, if you have a one-handed weapon and a shield equipped, you will only be able to use the shield to parry.
