Hitman: World of Assassination has added a new Elusive Target called Lilith Devereux. She is voiced by the famous actress Milla Jovovich, who famously played Alice in the Resident Evil movies. She has had other big roles, too, but the RE ones are relevant because this Elusive Target mission, The Harbinger, is clearly inspired by Resident Evil. After all, there is a virus, some herbs, and laser defenses.
Your goal is to kill Lilith Devereux and contain the virus that she has access to. Since this is an Elusive Target, you don’t get any saves, and you can’t even restart the mission once you’ve completed an objective. So, you have to be careful. To help with things, here is a full walkthrough of the mission.
Since this is Hitman, there are plenty of methods to complete the mission. This is a walkthrough of the more cinematic one.
Attending The Fundraiser
You don’t need to do anything on the planning screen for this mission. All you really need is coins and a gun.
Then, when you get control of Agent 47, make your way into the big house through the front door and attend the fundraiser at the back of the building.
Once you get there, Lilith and Gregory Carlisle will deliver speeches. After they’re done, walk toward the Gregory. He will call you over, and you need to press the button on the screen to interact with him.
Following this, you need to watch Lilith as she mingles with the other quests. Eventually, she will speak with Gregory again and another woman. At the end of the conversation, she checks her phone before leaving the area.

Being an assassin isn’t always easy.
Get A Bodyguard Disguise
As she’s leaving, you need to leave, too. However, she takes a sharp right when she exits the fundraiser. You must take the second right.
Near the stairs, you can find a bodyguard guarding a door.
Go around to the back of the stairs and throw a coin to attract his attention.
He will come walking over, and you can subdue him and steal his clothes. Then, hide his body in the box back there.
Once he’s dealt with, enter the door that he was guarding.
Spy On Lilith
In the room he was guarding, you will find Lilith. Depending on how quickly you got the disguise, she may have already started climbing the stairs.
You also need to head up and follow her. She walks past a velvet rope and heads toward the room at the end of the hall.
That room is a forbidden area. So, instead of heading inside, enter the bathroom next to it.
Climb out of the window and shimmy around to the right to find another window.
Stand outside of it to listen to their conversation.
When she leaves the room, go back to the bathroom and follow her again.
She will return to the library and head downstairs. You must stay upstairs and go to the far side, where you can look down to spy on what she is doing.
You will be able to watch her open a secret room using one of the bookcases. She enters it and disappears.
How To Get The Secret Passage Open
Head down to the secret passage entrance, then go through the door right next to it. This is because you first need a ring to open the passageway.
To do this, head outside the front door and go right to where the cars are.
Head through the middle of the two guards there, and go toward the cemetery.
At the cemetery, there is a large grave. Grab a shovel from behind it and start digging up the grave.
When the body is accessible, grab the ring from it.
With the ring in hand, return to the secret passage entrance.
Interact with it, then click the weird hand. Stick the ring on it to open the door.
Find Lilith In The Lab
When you step inside the secret passage, the elevator automatically takes you down. From here, you can simply progress forward as the path is self-explanatory.
Eventually, you will reach an open area where you will find Lilith behind some glass.
Agent 47 will have a conversation with her, and she’ll infect herself.
Now, you must run back out of the lab from the same route you entered before the AI housed there kills you.
After you get out of the main lab area, you will need to dodge some lasers. The first set contains big gaps that you can stand in. Then, for the second lot, you just need to crouch down. For the last set, you must press the button on screen to have 47 do an impressive dodge.
Those are the last defenses, so you can just run back to the elevator.
Get To Zachary Carlisle’s Room
Once you get back up to the house, you will notice that chaos has ensued. Some people have been infected by the virus Lilith released, and a Biohazard Response Team has been called in to contain the situation. You need to kill Lilith and neutralize the virus.
At this point, more and more people keep getting infected. You need to focus on the task at hand, though.
Start by heading to Zachary Carlisle’s room. To get there, exit the library using the door next to the secret passageway. Then, climb the stairs next to that door.
At the top of the stairs, take a right and head all the way down the hall. Zachary Carlisle’s Room is on the left.
While in here, you can make an antidote to the virus.
How To Make An Antidote
Once you enter, head right to grab the blue herb next to the closet.
Then, you can find the green herb to the left of the patio doors.
With both herbs, head to the right of the patio doors and insert them into the science kit there to make the antidote.
After you pick it up, turn around to find a white desk with some goodies on it. Grab the Kalmer 3-Cure Gun, the Injectible Cure, and use the rest of your doses on the darts.
With these things, you’ll be able to cure people and yourself if needed.
How To Kill Lilith
If you’ve timed it right, then after you finish in Zachary Carlisle’s room, Lilith should either be near or already inside the room across the hall. If she is, then head to the balcony to your left, and shimmy to the window outside the room Lilith is in to listen in on their conversation.
You learn that she has left evidence of her crimes on the computer within that room. So, when she and the bodyguards leave, enter it. Before grabbing the data, though, eliminate the infected maid in there and hide her body in the chest.
Once she’s no longer an issue, grab the data from the computer.
How To Get A Biohazard Response Team Disguise
Before you can use the data, you need to acquire a Biohazard Response Team disguise. So, head back to the library to find someone wearing the outfit.
Getting him can be tricky if there is someone outside the bathroom that’s next to the library. However, if you wait for your target to head toward the bathroom, you can throw a coin to where the couches are beside the stairs.
Nobody should be able to see you take him out there. Once you do, steal his clothes and drag him to the chest under the stairs.
Now, you have a fantastic disguise that nobody seems to be able to see through and grants you access to pretty much anywhere in the mansion.
How To Use The Disguise To Kill Lilith
With it on, head to the kitchen, which is on the other side of the building. Plug your data into the computer there, which leads to another Rescue Team member seeing it.
They order you to help them deal with Lilith. Do as they say and follow them to a meeting with her, which ends with your teammate killing her.
How To Neutralize The Virus
Now that Lilith is dead, you can focus on neutralizing the virus. This means eliminating or curing all those infected. At this point, there will probably be plenty of people infected, and you have to work fast so that the number doesn’t grow too much.
Yet, we can’t give you strict instructions on how to find and deal with each of them because they may be in different places in your game.
Here are a few things you should know, however, that will help you:
- Anyone with a yellow skull icon is infected.
- The Biohazard Response Team is continually testing guests in the main lobby. If they find someone that’s infected, they take them outside and kill them, which does your job for you.
- Staff members don’t seem to be taken to the lobby, so you have to go around and deal with them yourself.
- The Kalmer 3-Cure Gun is very useful for curing people. If you shoot a dart into someone, it immediately cures them and doesn’t alert them or make a sound. Sadly, you don’t have enough darts to cure everyone.
- If you’re still wearing the Biohazard Response Team outfit, you shouldn’t be able to be infected. If you take it off, though, you can be infected if you subdue those who are. If this happens, you need to use the Injectable Cure you picked up earlier to fix yourself. It’s best just to keep the Biohazard Response Team suit on, though.
Once the virus has been neutralized, you’re free to leave through any of the exits and finish the mission. The place you initially spawned works well as an exit.
