This guide tells players what they need to know about getting Pokemon Pokopia Change icons so they can customize their profiles with their favorite characters and items from the franchise. This is a limited time offer, so players who want to get these icons must act fast.

How to get Pokemon Pokopia user icons on Switch

Nintendo is giving away themed icons to promote the launch of Pokemon Pokopia. The Pokopia icons are part of the Missions & Rewards feature available to Nintendo Switch Online members. So, while players do not need to own Pokopia to claim these icons they must have an active NSO subscription.

Players can claim Pokemon Pokopia icons by opening the Nintendo Switch Online app on your Nintendo Switch, selecting the Quests & Rewards tab, and then entering Pokopia section. Each Pokopia character frame costs 10 platinum points.

The Pokemon Pokopia icons will be released gradually and divided into four waves. Here's when each wave becomes available:

Wave 1: March 4, 2026, 4:59 PM PT
Wave 2: March 11, 2026, 4:59 PM PT
Wave 3: March 18, 2026, 4:59 PM PT
Wave 4: March 25, 2026, 4:59 PM PT

Players will see a selection of 11 user icons in the Quests and Rewards tab, and must acquire the ones they like the most before profile pictures are updated and the next wave begins. On April 1, 2026 Pokopia icons become unavailable.
