How to get loose fit clothing

The dizzying array of glamor options in Square Enix Final Fantasy 14 continues to grow with every ounce of new content, and the most popular among them ironically tend to be the casual glams (or “glams” as they're commonly called in-game). For every player who enjoys showing off their most embellished outfits, countless more like to partake in the simpler looks that are easy to style and still make a statement. While some outfits are offered in Final Fantasy 14's Mog Station store for a modest price, many more can be purchased in-game in various ways, whether it's through being victorious in battle or crafting.

One such way is to participate in the game's PVP scene, which as of Patch 7.1 offers the Loose Fit Attire glamor set as one of its many seasonal rewards. This stylish streetwear is quickly becoming one of the game's most sought-after looks, but if you want to add it to your glamor wardrobe, you'll need to prepare for a grind with the game's PVP mode.

For those tuned in to what's going on in Wolves' Den in Final Fantasy 14The Patch 7.1 update has started PVP Series 7. This means players can start collecting more trophy crystals as well as tons of new loot. You can progress through the series by participating in the game's PVP modes, which currently include Frontline, Rival Wings, and the increasingly popular Crystalline Conflict. Whether you win or lose a match in any of these modes, when that match is over, you'll still walk away with a chunk of EXP that counts towards your streak progression. Each series is divided into a sequence of ranks, and Series 7 includes 30 ranks, each of which requires a certain amount of EXP to unlock.

You can monitor your progress at any time, even during a match, by going to the “Character” tab in your dashboard. Scroll down to 'PVP Profile' near the bottom, which shows your current ranking, your PVP actions, instant chat options and more. Select the “Series Malmstones” button at the top right of the menu, which will display the entire series progression map, seen above. You can see what each rank gives when unlocked, and at slot 25 you'll find the Loose Fit Attire Coffer, which contains the full Loose Fit Attire outfit. This means you must complete enough PVP matches of your choice to achieve Rank 25 and gain glamour. Recent balance and accessibility changes in PVP have also made the game more manageable, so if you were hesitant to join the fray before, now is probably the best time to put on those punching gloves.

The quest to reach that rank will take considerable time, but it can still be done effectively by participating in your daily Frontline Roulette in Duty Finder, and then also entering Crystalline Conflict matches. Each match only takes a few minutes at most and the queue time for them is often very short, sometimes even instant. If your team wins, you will be rewarded with 900 EXP. If you end up with a defeat, you still get 700 EXP, hardly a loss in retrospect. Also, keep in mind the recent changes to combat jobs in PVP, as their feasibility will continue to evolve and fluctuate.

Also be aware that each PVP streak only lasts for a limited amount of time, similar to a battle session in other games. When the next series starts, you can no longer progress through the previous one. However, if you've unlocked but not claimed rewards from the previous series, you can still do so for the duration of the current series. Final Fantasy 14's Series 7 will last until the Patch 7.2 update, so don't lose your PVP momentum if you want that Loose Fit Attire glamour.
