Then, the day after the KK Slider first appears, Isabelle will inform you that boat rides have now been unlocked. All you have to do now is head to the end of the pier on your island to find Kapp'n chilling in his boat.

1. Pay off your first debt with 5,000 Nook Miles

2. Construct Nook's Cranny

3. Build your first bridge

4. Build and place furniture for 3 arriving villagers

5. Build the housing services building

6. Build the campsite

7. Talk to Isabelle to see your island rating

8. Have at least eight villagers (having nine or ten gives you even more points)

9. Pull all the weeds on your island

10. Plant and water lots of varieties of flowers

11. Plant different kinds of trees and shrubs (but having too many trees deducts points)

12. Place more variety of items outside

13. Place more bridges, slopes and fences

• Each island always has a gyroid fragment buried on it. Raining/snowing Gyroid islands also have an entire gyroid buried on them.

• Kapp'n Islands may have a different season or time of day than your island's current season and time, which you can take advantage of to collect new fish, bugs and sea creatures for your collection.

• Each island has a message bottle, with each island type containing different DIY recipes in the bottle.
