How to unlock the smuggling tunnels
Call of Duty Warzone 2 DMZ has many locations that players need to find for various reasons, whether it's to acquire certain vehicles like the MRAP or to complete specific faction missions. Some areas are much harder to find than others, so having a better lay of the land from researching is always useful.

The Smuggling Tunnels is one such place that you will most likely struggle to find without help and since it has a White Lotus faction quest named after it to complete, you need to know where to go.
Where to find the smuggling tunnels
The smuggling tunnels are located northeast of Zarqwa Hydroelectric and only on the Al-Mazrah map. A nearby tower is a very useful landmark to use to discover the location of the fortress when approaching.
We recommend using a boat if you are playing on the south side of Al-Mazrah as you can use the river to go upstream to the hydroelectric plant.
When you spawn in the DMZ, you just mark the mount and you can navigate to it when you're ready. Once you get outside the Smuggling Tunnels Stronghold, there are a few entrances hidden.
The easiest to find is on left side of the Stronghold icon and there will be one trees winding over a rocky hollowed-out crevasse. Shrubs cover the door, but you come see a metal fence entrance and an industrial door to the Smuggling Tunnels when you are near.
How to unlock the smuggling tunnels
As all the strongest in the DMZ, you need a Stronghold Keycard to enter. However, it does not require a specific key that is only tied to the tunnelsunlike some other locations on the map where you need to find individual keys.
Before you consider getting a key card, be sure to be very prepared for the Smuggling Tunnels—We recommend that you stand up for this Stronghold. The tunnels have one pulp of enemies inside and, due to the nearby nature, you can be cornered very quickly.
How to get a strong keycard
There are a few ways to get a Stronghold Keycard to access the tunnels. One way is over kill hordes of AI enemies and hope that by pure luck you randomly drop the key card. This can be very time consuming and is not recommended.
Instead, you should buy one from a buying station for $5000. This may sound like a lot of money, but if you have been complete contracts and loot and then sell items while playing the gameit will be a piece of cake to get it. On the contrary is a way to make a lot of money quickly without ever completing a contract.
Not every Buy Station will have a Stronghold Keycard in their offerings, but by moving around different stations on the map, it won't take long to find one that does.
The train that goes around Al-Mazrah (visible on the map) is the best place to grab a lot of money early. During the looting of the train, we often find more than $3200 in cash scattered around. To make the most of this strategy, go straight to the train when you spawn on the map.
You can then sell any collected valuables on you at a purchase station or even find some cash registers to loot in stores for any extra money you need before you have $5000.
The money needed for the Stronghold Key Card will be yours, and you can easily enter the smuggling tunnels afterwards in a fraction of the time compared to the other enemy's loot drop method.
