How To Find Every Shop, Badge, And Accessory In Scott Pilgrim EX

Just like the original game, Scott Pilgrim EX isn’t just about non-stop brawling action, as there are also a bunch of RPG-esque accessories to find and purchase at the game’s many shops.

Shops also contain food that can heal you and save you in a pinch, as well as badges that have distinct effects on your stats. They’re all worth finding, and you’ll need to for various trophies. Let’s get into it.

The trophies you’ll unlock for finding all shops, badges, and food include Full Loadout, Nutrition Facts, Badger, Walk-In Closet, and Shady Business.

Underground Robot Lab

Chez Robot

The Underground Robot Lab is one of the first locations you’ll visit in Scott Pilgrim EX, during the game’s tutorial. The shop, Chez Robot, is found in the room you fight Metal Scott in, and it’s got a range of items for purchase. None of them are truly essential, but the Energy Pak is a good first choice since it can be used for recovery upon death.

Beaches

Ice Guys

The next area with a shop in Scott Pilgrim EX is Beaches, which is above the Suburbs area. When you get to the Beaches, Ice Guys will be closed, but you can open it by completing an event in the Ice Age dimension a little later on in the game. After that, Ice Guys will be open and offer some good food options that aren’t too expensive and can mostly be taken to go.

Ice Age

First Cup

Ice Age is the first alternate dimension you’ll visit in Scott Pilgrim EX, and it comes with a food shop called First Cup. Like Ice Guys, this shop is entirely food-based, but you won’t have to unlock this one at least.

Tricky Dee’s

The Shopping Area is fittingly packed with shops for you to enter, and you can come here very early on in the story. Tricky Dee’s is the first shop of them all, and it’s, once again, all about food.

Honest Ex’s

Next up in the Shopping District is Honest Ex’s, which will be somewhat familiar to anyone who has read the graphic novels. Just like in the books, Honest Ex’s is pure tat, so it’s finally a shop to visit that isn’t all about food.

Wallace Plushy is one of the game’s best Badges overall, since it basically makes Specials and Assists free to use if you hit enough people. Fridge Magnet is another good starting Badge, so make sure to get both.

Lawless Leather

As the name implies, Lawless Leather is a shop that’s all about Accessories, which are basically Scott Pilgrim EX’s version of armour. There aren’t many of these types of shops, so it’s another that’s worth investing some time and money into.

No-Account Video

Another location that should be familiar to Scott Pilgrim fans, No-Account Video is a bit of a strange location. For starters, you won’t be able to access it until you’ve reached Quest 5, as it’s tied to a story mission. The rest of its items are kind of like a combination of food and accessories.

The Happy Avocado

Close your eyes, Todd Ingram fans, as this shop is one of his only proper appearances in SPEX. At least he seems happy with his job, and the food on offer has some good stat boosts.

Casa Vania

Cold Topic

Doubling back on the map a bit, we’ve got the gothic dimension that’s located above Annex Alley and reached as part of some early story quests. There’s only one shop here, Cold Topic, and it’s a unique one since it’s all about colour palettes.

High Park

Burger Fort

Although Burger Fort is a bit further along on the map, you’ll actually run into it pretty early on in the game. The only shop here is the Burger Fort, which is, you guessed it, focused on food. At least it’s not as expensive as Tricky Dee’s.

Medieval Fort

Blazing Symbol

One of the easiest to miss shops in the game is Blazing Symbol, which you’ll only unlock as part of Quest 6, The Great Lord Burger when you travel to the medieval dimension. Unlike Burger Fort, Blazing Symbol is focused on Badges, and there are some really decent ones on offer, too.

Four-Leaf Clover and Lion Banner are both great Badges to get here, and Heart Amulet is very helpful if you’re just trying to get through the game.

Movie Studio, Studio Backlot

Make-Up Room

The second and final shop to focus on costumes is Make-Up Room, which is found by heading up at the Movie Studio, into the Studio Backlot. Here you’ll find the Make-Up Room, which has multiple colour palettes to purchase.

Distillery District

Hot Dog Stand

It’s been a while since we’ve had a food-focused shop, but that’s exactly what the Hot Dog stand in the Distillery District is all about. There’s not much else to it, but it does have some good food options.

Interchange, VPD Headquarters

Vegan Armory

We’re nearly reaching the end of the shops now, but it’s time to stop off at the Vegan Armory within the VPD Headquarters, which is a rare shop focused on accessories.

Underpass, Scott Pilgrim EX’s Secret Shop

Mystery Merchant

One of the hardest to find shops in all of Scott Pilgrim EX is Mystery Merchant, which is tied to the Shady Business trophy. To find it, head to the Underpass and walk up against the wall to open the door. Once here, you’ll see that the shop has a wide range of goodies on offer.

I discovered this shop far too late for it to matter, but the Lady Envy Plushy is a very strong Badge since health recovery is a bit of a rarity in SPEX.

Downtown

Croc Records

Moving on to the second-to-last stretch of shops, we’ve got Downtown, which you’ll reach near the end of the game. The first shop on the market is Croc Records, which is very similar to No-Account Video since its items are like a mix of food and accessories.

Keaton’s

Next up on the Downtown strip is Keaton’s, which is a Badge shop that has some of the strangest offerings in the game. They’re not all great, but there are some good picks in here, and it’s worth coming to tick off the items you need.

Dutch Fashion

Not only does Dutch Fashion feature a cameo from Bryan Lee O’Malley’s Seconds graphic novel, but it also has some great accessories that are worth taking a look at.

Chompers Drug Mart

The final shop in the Downtown area is Chompers Drug Mart, which has some of the best food in the game. It’s clearly a last-ditch effort to level up, and one item in particular is well-worth getting – the Multivitamins.

Wastelands

Nihon Sushi

We’re finally here folks, the last few shops in Scott Pilgrim EX, which means the last few sets of items you need. First up is Nihon Sushi, a food shop that is located in the very first area of the world once you jump there for the final missions.

Final Cup

Right next to Nihon Sushi is Final Cup, which is, strangely enough, another shop that’s entirely focused on food. Not sure why we needed two, but it’s here!

Bric A Brac

The very final shop of Scott Pilgrim EX, Bric A Brac, is found by heading up in the same area as the last two shops. Here you’ll find the shop, which is a mixture of badges and accessories.
