How to find and evolve Honedge in Pokemon Legends: ZA

Although you might be disappointed by the limited Pokedex of 230 Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: ZA's base game, there are some powerful steel-type options to choose from in Lumiose City. Fortunately, some of the best native Kalosian Pokémon, like Aegislash, made the cut for inclusion.

If you're trying to build a powerful playoff team by filling your crates with some of the most powerful Pokémon in Legends: ZA, then Aegislash is a must. Follow these steps to find a Honedge and evolve it into an Aegislash quickly after a quick trip to the Stone Emporium.

Where to find Honedge and Duoblade

There are two main ways to get an Aegislash in Pokemon Legends: ZA, with an early and late game option depending on where you are in the main story.

Capture a Honedge OR Duo blade in Lysandre Cafe, when you unlock this area during Main Mission 35: Reaching Rank A.

Wild Zone 4 is available very early in your playthrough and is one of the creepiest Wild Zones in the game. To make things even creepier, you have to go to this graveyard at night to meet a Honedge.

The Lysandre Café is only available towards the end of your ZA adventure, but it's an area worth farming for rare shinys like Beldum. While exploring purple room on the north side on the map you will come across several Honedge or Duo blade playing.

How to Evolve Duoblade into Aegislash

If you're starting out with a Honedge and doing things the old-fashioned way, you'll need to turn yours on first Go to level 35, which will allow you to evolve it into the Duoblade. But acquiring a Duoblade is only the first part of your task.

To evolve your Duoblade into Aegislash, you must first acquire one Twilight Stone. The Stone Emporium on Vernal Ave on the south side of Lumiose City is the easiest place to get a Dusk Stone quickly, because it can be bought for 3,000 Pokedollars along with several other evolutionary stones.

Evolving your Duoblade into Aegislash in Pokemon Legends: ZA is also the only way learn it king shield, Aegislash's signature move that allows it to switch back to Shield Forme after attacking.
