How to find and capture Greavard
To get the Houndstone, you first need Greavard, which appears in Mega Dimension version of Hyperspace Lumioseunlocked after completing the main story. This the postgame area cycles through rotating wild zones accessed via portals, each tied to a specific Pokémon type.
Greavard appears exclusively in Ghost-type Mega Dimension portals. As you scroll through the available portals, look for the ghost symbol that appears below the featured Pokemon images. Greavard's icon appears as a gray dog silhouette with a candle-like shape on its head.
Since Mega Dimension portals rotate with the day/night cycle, A ghost type zone will not always be available. If you don't see it right away, rest on a park bench to pass the time and update the portal. It may take a few resets before the correct dimension appears.
Once inside, you don't need to gear up for an aggressive fight. While Mega Dimension Pokémon are generally stronger than regular wild encounters, Greavard is particularly docile in this zone and will not pressure your team immediately. It makes it easier to set up a clean catch.

How to Evolve Greavard into Houndstone
Evolving Greavard into Houndstone has two requirements:
- Level Greavard to Level 30
- Level it up at night
It's not enough to just reach level 30. If Greavard rises during the day, it won't evolve. To avoid missing the trigger, cool down until the night before with EXP candy or enter into a battle which will push it over the level threshold.
When Greavard gains a level at night after reaching level 30, the evolution will start automaticallyand it will turn into Houndstone. No additional items or menu selections are required.
