Life after life is one of the first steps in Kyle Cranes' way to revenge in DYING LIGHT: The Beast. After escaping Baron's facility in Castor Woods, he finds a friend in Olivia, a mysterious woman with ties to Baron's research group, but she will not suffice. Kyle will need more allies to take revenge, and there is no better place to start than in the nearby city.
In this guide we will go over the necessary steps that players need to take to complete life after the Life mission DYING LIGHT: The Beastincluding a particularly confusing part very early.
DYING LIGHT: The Beast – How to examine the smoke in life after life
At the beginning of the assignment you can either go directly to the city of Olivia mentioned, or you can go to a nearby campsite and investigate some smoke that comes from a cabin. This area is closer, so you might as well check it out.
At the campsite you will find a horde bitter with a small group that surrounds the cabin you need to investigate. Get rid of the zombies, then Climb through the fence that blocks the main door of the cottage. Here you will find a survivor who will try to attack you. Fortunately, he is still a reasonable guy, and after a small change he will tell you to go to the town hall.
If you take too long, or if you go too far away from the campsite you will receive a radio transfer from the town hall. When this happens, both of the original goals (including this optional) will be overwritten.
City Hall meeting
Follow your new assignment marker through the city and then go to the City Hall in the center. Before you do, however, we recommend exploring the rooftops and winds a bit. You may find some better early gaming weapons for DYING LIGHT: The Beast on the road.
You don't have to kill the zombies in the town hall courtyard. Just skip the gate and then go in through the door. A shortcut scene will play, and you get your first gun ever. It is not much, and it will not have much, but it will be useful in the upcoming battle meetings.
This chimera uses many sludge attacks that can be a little difficult to avoid if you are not aware of your surroundings. It's pretty chunky copies as well, and if you don't want to waste ammunition or weapons sustainability, you can try to pick up some bottles of alcohol spread across the yard and Crafts a molotov -cocktail. Throw a pair of fire bombs at the defect and then hit it until it sinks.
Climb the tower
When the defect is dead, talk to the survivors behind double doors. You will meet a man named Jacob, and he will say that their sheriff went up in the Town Hall Tower to restart their power system, but she has not returned since. Go back to the yard, then Climb the bow past the statue to reach the base of the tower.
From there, just follow the road up. Climb up the stairs, and you will meet one of the Rangers from the Survivor group below. He is already bitten, but he gives you a box of ammunition. Then climb up the nearby ledge, then Use the railings along the walls of the circular room to reach the upstairs. There is a box on top of a platform inside the room you can use to reach climbable ledges and railings.
At the top of the tower is the sheriff, which is fighting a few bit. She will be a little worried at first, but she agrees to let you help them.
If you ever get lost or confused about where to go under these parkour/platform sections, keep an eye out for a few pieces of fabric bound to objects or any color of ledges. Even more important, don't forget to look up, down or over gaps.
Reconciliation of the power line
Use Zipline to reach the roof of the town hall and then take you to the power room at the opposite end of the tower. Inside you will find an intersection box, so you have to lead a long power line from the box back to the tower. Interact with the box, then Go through the small valve in the room. From there, get to the bottom of the tower and then climb up through the face of the clock.
Make sure not to cross the power line against any obstacles. It has a limited length, and if it is tangled, you need to loosen it or restore the line completely.
After that, you and the sheriff will go back to the main group of survivors, and a long cutting scene will play. The assignment is basically over at this time, but before you move on to anything else, make sure not to skip the tutorial that follows. It will teach you how to modify your weapons so that they can handle different types of element damage and other effects. The City Hall will also be a safe zone for you.
There is also a plan for a weapon near the workbench inside the town hall.
