Indiana Jones And The Great Circle: A Savage Discovery Walkthrough

Professor Savage needs Indy's help in Indiana Jones And The Great Circle.

Of course, you can't just leave poor Sidney to his fate. Rescuing the boy is much more dangerous this time, as you will face more guards who are much better armed and are happy to boot. Here's how to make sure you both get out unscathed.

How to start The Savage Predicament Fieldwork Mission

professor savage in the village of gizeh in indiana jones and the great circle.

This quest will not become available until you have done so infiltrated and escaped the Nazi compound in Giza and returned safely to Nawal's tent afterwards. You must also have concluded A Savage Discovery in Vatican City.

You can return to the Vatican by using Travel tab in your journal and select Return visit alternative.

When Nawal mentions that there's an Englishman in the village asking for help, that's your signal that the quest is available. Travel to Giza Village on the east side of the map; Savage is in the village square, near the merchant you bought the lighter from earlier. You will hear him asking for help as you approach.

Talk to Savage to trigger a cutscene and start the mission.

If you haven't already, go north of the village to the checkpoint east of the Nazi compound, where you appeared after the collapsed tunnel sequence. Go to the back of the watchtower and use your whip to climb up. Make your way around the ledge to the front and enter through the open window.

Beat up the guard inside, then take his uniform from the table downstairs. Wearing it will make it much easier to infiltrate the compound the second time, since then only officials will question your presence.

Indiana Jones And The Great Circle: Boxing Champion location guide

There are nine boxing champions to be found in Indiana Jones And The Great Circle and their locations are quite hidden.

Return to the detention center

There is no need to enter the area through the tunnels at the Great Pyramid dig site as you did for the story quest, although it is an option. Having come this far, now you can enter through the west entrance, opposite the dig site. Doing that is much faster, and the tunnels don't take you that much further in, so the direct route is best now that it is available.

The detention is wooden building at the southern edge of the compound in which you encountered Voss and Gantz. This time you can enter through the front doorbut it is recommended that you instead climb in through the side window as before. The front door and entrance room have several guards, and that's it easier to get them down by approaching from a side room than by trying to storm the building from the front.

Once inside, enter the room to the left of the main entrance, then turn right to enter the storage cells. Pick up note from Gantz on the table to find that Sidney has been moved to the Khafre excavation site. You can too enter the cell on the right to bring home a letter Sidney has written.

When you have both letters, leave the compound and go to the excavation site in the southwest.

How to rescue Sidney at the excavation site

When you arrive at the Khafre excavation site, the map in your journal will change to a zoomed-in minimap of the area. Start with go to the building in the middle of the place. Entering from the north will let you easily steal a medicine vial and a radio frequency. Once you have them, take a page from Gantz's journal on the mess table in the main room.

That's what it says on the note Sidney has been allocated tunnel A1. The entrance is southeast of the building you are in and up the wooden ramp from the A2 entrance. Be careful on your way there, even if you have the Wehrmacht uniform; there is one officer just outside between the mess tent and the tunnels, and if he sounds the alarm, you'll have to fight this area's unusually high number of tongues.

Then follow Tunnel A1 to the end use your whip to climb down the hole to Sydney. After the cutscene, you will be in front of a breakable wall, with a metal bar conveniently at your feet to break it. Before doing so, take a picture of the mural on the wall to the left.

How to get out of the tunnels with Sidney

Smash through the wall and follow the tunnels until you reach a fork. There is one table with some bread if you need a quick health boost, but stay low; the path straight ahead is guarded by two tongues, which isn't an ideal fight at the best of times.

The left and middle path will both get you where tongues will notice you. There is one harder to find the way to the right which allows you to sneak up on them. Taking one out with a sledgehammer or other weapon before they can react will make it much easier for you to fight the other.

Once you pass the tongues, follow the minecart tracks uphill until you reach a collapsed support beam; lift it to escape. At this point, Sidney will make it back to the village by himself. Visit him in the same place you talked to Professor Savage earlier to obtain one of the ten hidden stelae for the Cairo Museum and complete the quest.
