Many shop simulators, they immerse themselves in the fantasy of monotonous precision. Order just enough inventory, stock the shelves, watch your profits rise as inventory gets low, over and over again.
But in Roadside researchyou really have to clean a lot. People just drag in so much dirt and then suddenly it's your fault that everything is dirty! So if you actually want to make a profit and stay undercover, you'll have to dirty up your alien grippers before they're clean again.
How to clean stains
The biggest problem you will deal with is stains. Everything leaves stains. Primarily, spots will remain in places where people tend to walk a lot. So you will see a lot at the till, around the shelves and so on. And the more blemishes there are and the longer they remain, the more your customer satisfaction will drop.
But sometimes the spots are more out of the way. On the sidewalk as people walk toward the store, neatly buried under the stairs leading into your store, at the petrol pumps. It could be anywhere.
Customers will have one unhappy symbol appears above their heads as soon as they encounter dirtwhich makes them a pretty useful tool for actually tracking where dirt is.
However, cleaning is easy. In the toilets there will be boots on the wall with a sponge attached to the end. Just pick them up and use them on the floor to start cleaning. All you need to do is swipe quickly back and forth until the stain is gone.
When cleaning, bubbles will begin to appear along with a squeaking sound. If you can't hear these, then reposition yourself to make sure you clean properly. This can be a particular problem for the fuel pumps, so be careful with your cleaning there.
You can drop the cleaning boot wherever you want and it will stay there, so it can be good to leave one at the pumps for easy cleaning of outdoor stains.
A spot you sometimes miss is those in the cash register. The desktop is already a bit battered, so the stains may be hard to see. Just give it a scrub every now and then to keep it nice and clean.

How to get rid of junk easily
The next big problem you have to deal with is the trash. Wow, people just love to throw things everywhere. If there isn't a trash can, there's a trash can everywhere. And they will release them everywhere.
In the store, however, it is easy to find they can slide behind certain objects such as water dispensersso be thorough in your search. It is the garbage outside that is much more difficult to locate. Customers will drop litter anywhere from the moment they step out of their cars, so make sure you scan your entire store for litter.
Initially, you have to pick these up one by one and then either throw them in the large trash can behind your store, or in the research bin in the alien room. However, with 50 research points, you can buy trash cans. These allow you to pick up multiple litters at once before they are disposed of, reducing wasteful trips back and forth.
Some trash can't be examined, such as empty containers, so it can be helpful to invest in a second bin to place at the front of your store also.
However, it's still easy to miss smaller pieces, and that's where proper bins come in. These can be researched for 300 research points and is located directly under the trash can in the grid. With these, customers will automatically put all their trash in bins you place and prevent them from littering.
That said, these bins will still fill up, and customers will litter again when they are fullso make sure you empty and examine their contents often. Customers will find their way to a dumpster no matter what, so placing several can give you a little extra time before they start littering again.
There is another bin upgrade that you can get automatically searches them for debrisso you no longer need to empty them. However, this increases your base level of suspicion, so use them carefully.
Manage Gloop spills
A consequence of being an extraterrestrial life form is that you sometimes leak a little. While doing anything, even just running around, you leave a puddle on the floorwhich is signified by a sound as it descends. These are a little different than your usual spots.
The color of the goop stain is the same as your alienwhich makes it much easier to blame your friends when one appears.
First, they are obviously not human, and your level of suspicion will increase if a human sees it. Consequently, this means that stains they can't see, like those in the stranger's room or behind the store, are technically fine to leave, although agents will examine them if they come to the store, so it's best to clean them up.
Goop's stains are also slippery, and every man who passes over them will fall, which is not good for customer satisfaction, so be proactive when you see them. Cleaning them is thankfully the same as any other stain, so just grab your sponge-covered boot and clean.
If you are killed, for example by being hit by a car or an agent, you leave a pretty big stain behind. These take a little more effort to clean up.
