How to choose the right gesture for Nurikabe

Many of the soul-like games have hidden secrets that players may miss during their first playthrough. One of the most popular things that many players have gotten into the habit of checking are fake or illusory walls that can hide treasures, rare equipment, or even collectibles behind them.

The same can be said about Nioh 3but due to the new exploration system added to the game, the secret walls are marked on the map as Nurikabe. Also present in the previous games, these are living walls that mimic the surrounding area. Here's how players can open them without being crushed by their massive weight Nioh 3.

How to open Nurikabe Walls in Nioh 3

When you run into a Nurikabe wall, you'll notice that it has eye sockets that open up and stare at you all the time. Now, if you were to attack the wall to get past, it would crush you and, if you're still standing, fight you.

Since you're often low on health or healing from enemy encounters around the place, you may not want to fight the Nurikabe Wall to get past. Don't worry, because there is an alternative and harmless way to get through.

If you plan to fight the wall, you should attack from a distance with your Ninjutsu to gain the upper hand.

When you get to the Nurikabe Wall, you'll need it look around to see a red tomb. You don't need to summon and fight the Revenant; Just hovering over them should give you information about their death. It will say “Crushed to death by Nurikabe for their hostile behavior.” The last part can also be neutral behavior, but the main thing you need notice is the color of the last two words.

Now that you know the information, stand next to Nurikabe and open your gestures tab by pressing the emote button, which is R1/RB + Start/Option button on your controller. Once you have the three different color gestures in front of you, you now need to do it press emote, which is not the color mentioned in the grave note. If the color was red, you must now perform a blue or yellow gesture.

If you perform one of these two and it was not the correct gesture, Nurikabe's eyes turn redbut it won't act. You still have one more chanceand you can simply tap the other color gesture to make Nurikabe disappear and drop his loot.

Alternatively if you manage to get to the back of the wall, you can remove the talismanwhich causes it to disappear.
