How Resident Evil Requiem's Grace is compared to previous re -heads

In the past year, rumors of Resident Evil 9 Has been constant. Popular rumors suggested a possible Southeast Asia setting and even the return of popular series protagonists such as Leon Kennedy and Jill Valentine. Many of these assumed leaks, however, proved incorrect with the surprise rejection of Resident Evil Requiem At Summer Game Fest.

Instead of bringing two former main characters in the fold, Resident Evil Requiem Introduces a brand new protagonist to the series: Grace Ashcroft. This new face can help this new game to stand out in great ways, as if a bit is known about grace, Requiemfirst teaser trailer has already shown that she will be quite deviation from past RE main characters.

What we know about grace so far

In the first Requiem trailer, fans may face grace – daughter of Resident Evil: OutbreakAlyssa Ashcroft. Grace is a mildly urged technical analyst working for the FBI. She has been commissioned to investigate a mysterious illness that has already left several people dead. During her investigation, a new lead results in her supervisor sending her to investigate the Remwood Hotel-which only happens to be the hotel where her mother was murdered eight years before the bombed ruins of Raccoon City.

What does grace make a unique protagonist

Grace looks to be a healthy breath for the series, as she differs drastically from former protagonists in terms of both personality and experience. Unlike Leon Kennedy with his constant single -feds or the combat -hardened Chris Redfield, insight into grace RequiemThe first trailer depicts her as disorganized, worried and introverted. She seems most comfortable at her desk and immediately goes into a defensive spiral when she is brought in to meet her supervisor. While this personality type is likely to be attributed to her former trauma – with the impact of the said trauma that makes her something comparable to Jill – her lack of field experience can also be a major factor.

With Requiem With a unique transformation into psychological horror, the game is ready to move away from the action -heavy game in the last post of the series, Resident Evil Village. Grace will not have the military or police training as almost all before RE Protagonist – like Jill, Chris and Leon – has had. This puts her more in line with Ethan Winters from Resident Evil 7Who felt relatively powerless and from its depth at the beginning of the game. But even he trained under Chris Redfield in the gap between Re7 and VillageWhich makes him a much more competent fighting. Her FBI background can be used to explain why the character has basic training with firearm – the trailer did not show any weapons, but it would be a series first if the game did not contain such a battle. But since Grace seems to be primarily an office worker, Requiem Seems intention to act in weapons that are blazing approaches from previous games for one that will be much more intense and survival focused.

Although Leon is reportedly a playable character in RequiemHaving Grace Ashcroft as the main character should go a long way in giving the game a unique identity. She is far from the average action hero, who should help add efforts to the story and give her more space to develop as a character. While more information about Grace will surely be shared in the subsequent trailers, the game itself will be released in less than a year, February 27, 2026.
