Houndoom fits seamlessly into a standard setting of Infernepe ex. To build this tire you need Houndour, Chimches and Monferno for the evolution lines. For coach cards, important enclosures are Cyrus, Sabrina, Dawn and Pokemon communication. If the energy distribution becomes a problem, it can help balance things to add a single copy of Moltre's ex.

Houndoom Deck Synergies

Houndoom is the control agent, who locks the opponent at the active place to either take it out or set up a simple knockout for Infernep ex.
Infernpe ex is the tire's primary damage dealers who can deal with 140 damage with only two energy-in-hand to take down many top cards.
Cyrus and Sabrina are important for directing bench opponents.
Dawn helps to counteract Infernep ex's energy card effect, which allows it to attack consistently.
Pokemon communication is crucial to managing the tire's clumsy evolution lines, which ensures that you can draw quite short when needed.
If Moltre's ex includes, it provides additional energy acceleration, which helps both Houndoom and Infernep ex ramp up effectively.

Surprisingly, Houndoom tires have performed well against grasslands from previous extensions. Specifically, the once dominant exeggutor Ex & Celebi installation has been defeated by Houndoom Deck's 80% of the time in the latest tournaments-an impressive profit frequency.

However, it is important to note that there is limited information about Houndoom's PVP performance, as it is not a popular PVP tire. If the trends continue as they are, the future looks gloomy for Houndoom unless a new, powerful fire -type Pokemon with perfect synergy comes to its rescue.

How to counteract Houndoom

Most Houndoom tires in TCG are relatively easy to counteract. Several options are available, including 18 coach Articuno Ex, Gyrado's Ex & Greninja, and the top set from the previous expansion: Magnezone & Darkrai Ex.

Houndoom tires face two important disadvantages: their Burst injury is often not enough to take down the enemy's primary debate dealers, and their lines of evolution can be clumsy. Given these weaknesses, the best counter would be a quick tire with above average HP. 18-coach Articuno Ex is a perfect example. It is tanky and starts to deal with 60 damage with only two energies, which can be devastating for Houndoom tires.

The triumphant light expansion led a surprising displacement to methane with the introduction of three game -changing cards: Arceus ex, Leafeon Ex and Irida. These cards each have received a unique blow to Houndoom and shot it down to the lowest levels in Mäagame.

Arceus ex currently dominates methane, and its rapid structure and high damage to early play makes it a strong calculator to Houndoom. At the same time, Leafeon ex and Irida have formed an unexpected alliance, and the duo has proven to be very effective against Houndoom. Irida's inclusion has also strengthened some water-based tires, such as 18-trainer Articuno ex-installation, which has performed well against Houndoom.
