The High on Life 2 The Nipulon bounty is the last mission in the game, and it sees you face the CEO of Rhea Pharmaceuticals once more before you can clear your name and free humanity from the evil medical corporation. The reward includes several episodes, including a court hearing that takes into account the decisions you've made in the story up to this point, and a Nipulon boss fight during which most of your High on Life 2 weapons play a major role. So, here's how to succeed every step of the way in this final reward.
How to find another way up to the penthouse in High on Life 2
You can't take the elevator to James Stevenson's apartment in High on Life 2, so you have to take the long way.
How to get the high security key card in High on Life 2
You begin your final reward by sleeping in your bed back in your Quarters. However, make sure you've bought or acquired any upgrades you want before resting upbecause you don't have another chance before the last points. You can still explore hub areas like Circuit Arcadia and Pinkline Harbor once you beat the game and participate in activities like fishing and going to the Liquid Nights nightclub, but you won't be able to upgrade your gear until you meet Nipulon after this point.
If you are happy to continue, sleep in your bed and head to the outskirts of Rhea Pharma — Gene and Lizzie will automatically take you there when you approach the RV in your neighborhood. Climb the stairs away from the protest against Rhea Pharma's exterior. The area is suspiciously empty, so just enter to start looking for the CEO.
Watch out for snipers on the higher level of the area, opposite the door you entered. You will face quite a few enemies in this stage of the mission, and you'll often need to keep an eye out for enemies with long-range weapons, use cover, and keep moving on your skateboard.
Unfortunately, the lack of security does not last. Once inside, Nipulon tells everyone in the building that the outlaw with a large price on his head has just entered, as you are attacked by bounty hunters. After defeating these waves of enemies, you'll separate from Lizzie and enter the elevator up to the top of the building. That is, until you realize you need a high security key card before you can go all the way up.
Since you are now only as high as the fifth floor, you have to fight your way through more rooms and enemies to reach your goal. You can use your Info Scanner if you get lost on the road. When you are in the same room as the enemy and holding the keycard you need, Gene will announce you on your radio. You have to pick up the keycard from his corpse and defeat all remaining enemies before the door to the elevators opens.
That said, before you can get to Nipulon, your elevator stops at a lower floor where you pick up another employee. The guards mistake them for outlaws and kill them. All you have to do is defend yourself and re-enter the elevator. After that, the elevator will take you to a room with more waves of enemies and a mini-boss. Once they're cleared, you're ready to move on to the next stage of the bounty.
How to complete the court hearing
Now it's up to you to defend the rights of people, and your decisions as an outlaw, in the Supreme Space Court. There are several ways this can play out, but the basic premise is that if you want to win the case, you must call witnesses, object when called, and answer questions.
This approach is quite time consuming and there are no rewards for winning the case. In fact, all roads lead to the final battle with Super Nipulonso you can choose to skip the procedure altogether. You can do this by:
- To shoot Nipulon when you get the chance.
-
Fold up the paper in front of you and throw it into the basket to the left of the referee enough times to get the referee to rule in your favor, entirely based on your jump shot abilities.
- Not swiping Peter with Knifey to object to Nipulon's request to end the negotiation early.
You only get one achievement in this episode (Kobe!) by throwing paper into the hoopthus choose this approach if you are interested in completing the game as efficiently as possible.
If you are happy to engage in the hearing as a good citizen and willing to take the time to win the case, check out our best High on Life 2 court response guide. Whatever happens, you will eventually be attacked by Nipulon and the final boss fight will begin.
How to beat Super Nipulon Boss Fight in High on Life 2
The first phase of the boss fight takes place in the courtroom itself. Nipulon moves pretty fast, so it's a good idea to use Sweezy's Time Bubble Trick Shot liberally, or Bowie's time-slowing Soul Hole. It's also worth making the most of your environment on your skateboard and regularly using dashes to avoid incoming projectiles. You can also use the cameras on the ground as projectiles with the Gravity Gun-like weapon you built to escape from prison.
That said, this part of the fight doesn't take up much of the overall battle: once Nipulon has lost a little more than a fifth of his health level, the next phase of the battle kicks off. At this point, he forcibly injects you with the drug developed by Rhea Pharma from humans: Humanzapro.
This sends you into a trance where you ride your skateboard through a series of linear environments while avoiding Nipulon's attacks and other obstacles and firing off some of your own in response. You have to use your skateboard on the grind rails and make many jumps, but if you fail you will never be put back far from where you fell.
In this section of the boss fight, you must use all the weapons you acquired during the main story. Of course, that doesn't include the BALL Gun, as that's an optional and missable unlock. When a particular gun is required, your character automatically switches to it.
During the on-rail portion of the boss fight, you will be awarded the “Romanced All 34 Erotic Worm Monsters” achievement.which the description says takes “over 100 hours.” This is just a satirical joke aimed at the types of achievements found in other games, and Nipulon will award it to you during battle based on how it will appear on your account, just like in the first game.
As you navigate obstacles and Nipulon's attacks and negotiate your environments, try to damage the CEO as much as you can. Once enough damage has been dealt, Nipulon will get in your way, giving you an opportunity to slash him with Knifey.
Each time this happens, Nipulon recovers and injects you with more Humanzapro. You'll also get new environments, like a Prismeria-themed course, where you automatically switch to new weapons with special abilities that you need to progress. Once you've dealt enough damage to Nipulon and used Knifey on him enough times, you'll win the fight.
With Nipulon defeated, you'll return to the Spaceforest Café (you may have played Hide and Seek with Jeppy just outside here) where you can chat with the characters you met during your adventure. Here, you can get different endings depending on how thoroughly you explored the game's side hubsas if you complete High on Life 2s escape room.
When you're ready to leave, you'll get the game's credits and be drop back into the world to check off any side objectives and explore any areas you may have missed.
