Hattori Hanzo's story explained

The Assassin's Creed Franchise is far from historically correct, and it has not pretended to be. But it is not to say that historical figures and events have not often played prominent roles in the series' stories. Ezio would still have a broken hidden leaf if it wasn't for Leonardo da Vinci. Edward Kenway would not have done it almost as far as a pirate if it wasn't for Mary Read. And the Frye -Tvörings would not have known about the Templers plot to bomb London if it wasn't for Queen Victoria. Assassin's Creed Shadows have lots of their own connections to the story.

Lies in the late SenGoku period in Japan's history, Assassin's Creed Shadows Has a variety of real figures and events that often connect them directly to the game's main history and key people. Hattori Hanzo is such a real figure, and he makes a great look during the last moments of Assassin's Creed Shadows'story.

The real story of Assassin's Creed Shadows' Hattori Hanzo explained

Assassin's Creed Shadows Historical Figures Hattori Hanzo

Born in the early 1540s, Hattori Hanzo was the son of a Samurai and part of a Ninja clan, and he saw his first battle at the age of 15. At about 20 years old, Hattori Hanzo served as a Samurai under Tokugawa Ieyasu, a Daimyo that allied himself with Oda Nobunaga. Over the next few years, Hanzo conducted a series of secret assignments for Tokugawa Ieyasu, including saving the Ieyasu family from the Immawa clan and silencing a rebellion in Mikawa.

Hanzo continued to fight for the Tokugawa clan during the 1570s, where his harsh tactical knowledge and determination got him the nickname “Hanzo the demon.” At Oda Nobunaga's sudden death in 1582 from the hands of her own general, Akechi Mitsuhide, Tokugawa Iyasu Sakai fled along with his trusted Samurai Hattori Hanzo.

Although they suffered severely injured on the road from Samurai hunting shifts known as Ochimusha-Gari, the Tokugawa clan and Hanzo took the friendly IgA province. Hanzo remained loyal to Tokugawa until his death in 1597 from illness and fought countless battles as one of the future shogun's “divine” general.

Hattori Hanzo's role in Assassin's Creed Shadows

Although his name is mentioned once or twice at the beginning of the game, Hattor Hanzo does not have a proper presence until the end of Assassin's Creed Shadows'Main history. Players eventually learn that Hattori Hanzo trained as Momochi Sandayus apprentice, and that he joined Kakushiba Ikki (a Japanese splinter group of murderers) established by Spanish killer Alvaro Catarribera and his Protégé, Tsuyu.

It is also revealed that Hattori Hanzo is directly responsible for the case of Kakushiba Ikki. In a moment of jealousy after Tsuyus's decision to marry Nagato and not him, Hanzo betrays his colleagues and sells them out to Ashikaga Yoshiaki.

The end of the cannon Assassin's Creed Shadows Sees Hanzo confess his storage against Naoe, who responds by attacking veteran Samurai and Shinobi. After getting the upper hand, Naoe stops her attack and she forgives Hanzo. Naoe's ending to see the two agree to work together to find Naoe's mother, Tsuyu, which Hanzo believes can still live.

Shadows are not Hattori Hanzo's first killer creed

Back in 2014, Ubisoft released a mobile card battle with the title Assassin's Creed: Memories. Hattori Hanzo made a performance in the game, along with lots of Lore. According to MemoriesHanzo Reclaimed the Sword of Eden in the 1570s, Assassinated the Japanese Templar, Mochizuki Chiyome, in the 1590s, and Died at the Hands of his rival Fumo Kotaro in 1596. It's Unclear Whether Any of this is still Consided canon Assassin's Creed Shadows By taking place in the early 1580s, it is possible that these events can still take place around it.
