Halos Master Chief Actor promises “Big News” at the World Cup

Halo is in a little rough condition, with Halo infinitely that has long been forgotten by most, and no real signs that the condition of the series will improve at any time soon. One last jump that Halo fans have is Halo World Championships, which starts later this month, and has regularly teased as a place where we may hear some official Halo news.

We have no idea what will be shown there, and before today it could have been literally anything from the announcement of the long-rumored remake, to a new Halo Infinite update. However, it feels like speed has been built slightly in recent weeks, and the idea that something big can be shown is becoming more and more likely.

Halos Master Chief Actor promises “Big News” at the World Cup

Now we even have Master Chief Voice actor Steve Downes who stir the pot a little more. In a recent post on his Twitter profile, Downes shared a picture of himself who reaped a Cortana t-shirt at Collect-A-Con in Chicago, which took place this last weekend. Downes tagged Cortana actor Jen Taylor in the tweet and expressed excitement that they both participated in Halo World Championships.

It's a fairly common tweet, but Downes couldn't help but leave a small teaser for Halo fans in there, and also said that there is “Big News a'Comin” with a pair of side eyemojis for good dimensions. I probably don't have to spell it for you, but only in the case is it quite clear that Downes knows something about what will be announced, and that it will not be a small disclaim that will not get a crowd.

When it comes to what it will be, there will still only be guesses at the end. We know that a Halo: Combat Evolution Remake is probably under development, because although no official announcements have been made, there have been some teasing as well as some fairly crucial claims from reliable insiders. It can be perfect time to show it and possibly give the halo franchise fired on the back that it really needs right now.
