Hades 2 is finally coming to Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, as announced during today's Xbox Partner Showcase. The critically acclaimed roguelike is coming to both platforms on April 14th.
Hades 2 was originally released on PC in early access, before coming to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 last September. Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 players are finally getting the chance to play one of last year's best games.
Hades 2 is coming to consoles
The short trailer opens with a shot of Melinoe getting into her signature armor, only to find that her shoes have been burned away by one of her fiery abilities – Fire Walk, perhaps? The trailer then teases Melinoe's constant battle with Chronos before fading to the release date.
Hades 2 is sort of a continuation of the story of Hades, where the character Zagreus fights against his father, the titular Hades. Hades is relegated to a supporting role in the sequel, as Zagreus' younger sister, Melinoe, is tasked with freeing her family from the clutches of her grandfather, Chronos.

As far as we know, there will be no further updates to Hades 2 when it releases on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, meaning you can expect the same version players have on PC and Switch 2.
