Grand Theft Auto 6 is now just over nine months away, if the game's latest release date holds true. Thanks to multiple delays that have come out of seemingly nowhere, and Take Two's insistence that it would meet release dates in the past, there are plenty of questions about whether or not November 19th will finally be the day GTA 6 lands on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
However, Take Two has sounded more and more confident in recent months that November is the real deal, and we may have just gotten our surest sign yet that Rockstar intends to hit its mark this time around. According to Take-Two's Q3 2026 earnings results released earlier today, it has been revealed that GTA 6's big launch campaign will begin this summer.
GTA 6 marketing starts this summer
Of course, that's not an outright confirmation that November 19th is a firm release date. We know that video game development is unpredictable and can change at any moment, but Take Two putting a lot of money into GTA 6 marketing is a sign that the publisher is sure of the date. You wouldn't start a summer marketing campaign for a game releasing in 2027, would you?

Avoiding leaks is critical for Rockstar.
Another very good sign that Rockstar is sticking with November 19th is that Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick basically said as much at the start of the earnings call, confirming that the release date is still the same date as before, and that Take Two still expects a significant amount of net booking for the fiscal year. All signs are quite positive.
It's worth noting that Zelnick himself has sounded pretty confident during these earnings calls in the past, pretty much because he has to. He tells investors what they want to hear, and often that has resulted in delays being announced even when he's stuck to certain release dates. But this new confirmation, along with marketing starting this summer, is a pretty sure indication that both Take Two and Rockstar are more confident than ever about their release date. Now we just cross our fingers and hope they are right.
