GTA 5 players have new free download to claim

Grand Theft Auto 5 player with one GTA+ subscription can now claim the Bravado Buffalo STX Pursuit, an all-new vehicle for GTA online. The free bit is available for purchase until the beginning of May 2026, while the vehicle itself can also be bought off GTA 5 players without a subscription to its online service.

March 29 marked the third anniversary of Rockstar introducing GTA+, a paid subscription service exclusive to the expanded and enhanced edition of GTA 5s online mode, available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. At launch, the offer was relatively narrow in scope, including a monthly deposit of in-game cash and a rotating selection of perks: discounts, limited property access, cosmetics, free vehicles, payout increases tied to specific activities, and the like. While the service expanded over the years, especially ahead of the April 2024 price hike to $7.99 a month, it still hands out free vehicles. The Bravado Buffalo STX Pursuit is the latest to join the ever-growing list.

GTA 6 developer reportedly hacked again, now facing ransom deadline

Rockstar has reportedly been hacked again during the final stretch of GTA 6 development, with the company now said to be facing a tight ransom deadline.

Bravado Buffalo STX Pursuit now available to claim in GTA Online

The police cruiser officially expanded GTA online vehicle pool on April 9, when it became available for all players to purchase. Meanwhile, GTA+ subscribers have been able to claim it for free since April 2nd. The offer remains available until May 2, Rockstar said. Players without a GTA+ subscription can purchase the Bravado Buffalo STX Pursuit for GTA$5.37 million. Its trade price is 4,027,500 GTA, which is 75% of the full price.

The new vehicle can be purchased or picked up by logging into the Warstock Cache & Carry website from the in-game phone. The Buffalo STX Pursuit is essentially a police-specific spin on the Buffalo STX, reworked as a four-door law enforcement sedan rather than a regular road car. Official materials describe it as retaining much of the base model's overall design while adding steel wheels, multiple light bars and additional police equipment in the cabin. These bells and whistles give the Buffalo STX Pursuit a more specialized look than the simple vehicle skins that are often added GTA online.

The Bravado Buffalo STX Pursuit was introduced as part of Rockstars GTA online The Neighborhood Watch event, currently in its second week. The event also includes Bail Office bonuses, special apparel and several other limited-time incentives. As is often the case, Rockstar has partnered with Twitch streamers to promote its latest content release, allowing players to earn in-game money and a unique cosmetic by watching participating streams for between two and eight hours, depending on the reward level. The first three levels offer cash rewards, while the fourth unlocks a Winter Highway Patrol Outfit.

With GTA 6 scheduled for release on November 19, the current version of GTA online could be nearing the end of active development, or at least a further decline in content releases, after Rockstar had already scaled back that production in the 2020s. Even so, the game is likely to remain active for years to come, having garnered millions of players over the years.
