Sucker Punch previews an upcoming patch for Ghost of Yoteiadding new content to the game including the highly anticipated New Game + mode. The hit game continues to evolve and grow, like its predecessor, with Ghost of Yoteis biggest jump will happen sometime in 2026.
After launching in early October, Ghost of Yotei has been a success for Sony and Sucker Punch. The game hasn't changed much since launch, receiving a few updates here and there to fix lingering issues and bugs, but with the development team now stabilizing the experience, work has seemingly begun on the first phases of post-launch content. In fact, fans won't have to wait too long to see some new content and feature additions Ghost of Yotei.

Ghost of Yotei adds new game plus and more on November 24th
In a new blog post, Sucker Punch's Senior Communications Manager Andrew Goldfarb revealed that a new update for Ghost of Yotei is on its way. On November 24, players will be able to download the latest patch, which finally includes New Game Plus. Similar to New Game Plus in other popular games, Ghost of Yotei unlocks this option after completing the main campaign, adding two new difficulty options and two additional trophies to unlock while allowing players to keep their existing gear.
For choosing a different walkthrough, there are some rewards as well. A new currency called Ghost Flowers can be used to switch to a special supplier to unlock 10 brand new charms and over 30 bonus cosmetics, including dyes and armor sets, to complement the already extensive equipment in Ghost of Yotei. Additionally, a new level of upgrades for the existing armor sets and weapons will be unlocked, allowing players to become even stronger.
In addition to New Game Plus, the update also adds a host of features, including a stats screen and the ability to replay post-game content. Ghost of YoteiPhoto mode gets new settings to play with, including shutter speed, composition grid, and additional filters. Finally, more accessibility options are added, such as being able to remap the directional buttons.
The post ends with another tease for 2026, then Ghost of Yotei adds its Legends multiplayer mode. Unfortunately, no further details were provided, but players already have a general idea of what to expect with it. The fan-favorite mode returns as a free update, adding 2 co-op missions and 4 survival missions where players will take on demonic versions of the Yotei Six. As expected, players will have several classes to choose from for these missions, although details on who or what these are haven't been revealed quite yet.
