Genshin Impact has given players an overview of the new Genius Invocation TCG cards for version 5.3, with Clorinde and Mualani making their debut as playable characters. While Genshin Impact is primarily an open-world RPG, it has also introduced a few alternate game modes over the years. The Serenitea Pot and Genius Invocation TCG are the most notable examples, with the latter being added Genshin Impact in version 3.3.
The Genius Invocation TCG has seen many changes since its debut, but at its core it is still a card game that attempts to simulate the combat mechanics of Genshin Impact. As such, players are expected to build a team for the Genius Invocation TCG, augmenting them with artifacts, food, and other types of buffs. After being released in version 3.3, the Genius Invocation TCG is still missing quite a few characters, although version 5.2 notably added Rosaria and Sigewinne to the playable cast.

Every character, skin, and feature has been confirmed for Genshin Impact's 5.3 update so far
Genshin Impact's upcoming version 5.3 update brings tons of new content, characters, events and more for players to dive into.
Version 5.3 will introduce Clorinde and Mualani to the Genius Invocation TCG. A detailed overview and demonstration of both characters was shared by the official Genshin Impact account on Reddit, along with action cards and balance changes made in game mode. In terms of gameplay, Mualani is the first Natlan character in the Genshin Impact to be added to the Genius Invocation TCG. Her ability kit revolves around maximizing normal attack damage by switching characters (on both sides of the field) while her elemental skill is active. On the other hand, Clorinde deals increased damage and heals herself by building Bond of Life stacks. While this can be accomplished with normal attacks, her Elemental Burst instantly replenishes Clorinde's Bond of Life.
Genshin Impact: Genius Invocation TCG cards and changes in version 5.3
In terms of action cards, a notable addition is the Demon Warrior's Feather Mask, which adds an energy point to the equipped character each time they use a technique. Given that Saurians in Genshin Impact represented as technology cards, the artifact card fits well with Natlan decks. Additionally, People of the Springs is a new support card that increases the usage count of player summons by one, with a total of three charges. This creates a synergy with Mualani, whose Elemental Burst summons her shark.
While some Genshin Impact players are not fans of the Genius Invocation TCG, the content is (mostly) entirely optional. However, the overall popularity of the Genius Invocation TCG cannot be denied, as the developers have recently released a physical version of Genshin Impact card games in China, opening up the possibility of in-person tournaments. Version 5.3 will be launched on January 1, 2025.
